Flat white had poor pour
The coffee was a little bitter. Roasted too long to my taste, but it seems like this is common in Denmark so maybe different pallette?
If you are used to American or Australian coffee might be a disappointment for you.
A good flat white has microfoam on the top. Mine looked like hot chocolate! See pic
Good wifi but had remote workers from France talking loudly on meeting calls so mood was awkward. I have no issues with people working in coffee shop but taking a long meeting on Skype to present? Miss me with that
Music selection was impeccable so I added a star. Props to Playlist selection. Workers are nice but I was disappointed with microfoam and coffee so I can't recommend.
I would not come back. Did not see too many locals here drinking coffee, more tourists from France, Netherlands, Sweden etc.
Edit: I appreciate the offer for a refund but won't take you up on it. I think it is important as a business owner to occasionally get feedback which can be an opportunity to check employee skill.
I am an at home barista so I may be more critical than normal customers. But the milk was under aerated. It is clear there is no sheen or foam in the picture. A good flat white would have at least some foam, maybe even a little art like a Rosetta on it. I could tell it would be underaerated when I saw it made. The final product is in the picture, it just looks like chocolate milk because there is no separation of milk and espresso because there isn't enough air inside the milk. The temperature maybe didn't hit 60c as well, but I can't be so sure.
I think the time to replace the drink is when the barista sees the final product. It's the time for Quality Assurance. You can look at the picture, does the milk there look aerated to you? Do you see any foam?
So while I appreciate the offer I will pass. As far as the bitterness it wasn't overwhelming, but I have cupped before, so I do not think it was acidity, but maybe the pull.
Still think the music was good! Also for remote workers it seems like a popular spot, but I don't like them taking one hour phone calls or zooms. For myself, I just prefer to socialize and enjoy a shop. So again thank you for the offer but I...
Read moreI recently visited Roast Coffee and unfortunately had an unpleasant experience with the barista on duty. We politely asked for an iced latte, essentially a flat white with the addition of an ice cube. She refused, so we clarified that we could simply order a flat white and have an ice cube added afterwards.
Instead of explaining if there was a policy against it, she started slamming items around and visibly showing frustration. We then said never mind, we wouldn’t order anything, but she turned to us saying “Don’t tell my boss” and proceeded to make the drink anyway. Later, when we asked for a glass of water, she refused to provide it.
While the coffee itself was fine, the overall attitude and lack of professionalism from the staff member were very disappointing. A welcoming and respectful service is as important as the product, and unfortunately, this interaction left a very negative impression.
Closing shift:...
Read moreUpdate: so I’ve been here again and I have to say that my coffee experience got better and is worthy 5 stars now. The coffee is very good and the texture of the cappuccino is also amazing. The staff is always super nice so I can recommend going here. Also, if you plan on going here more often you can buy a prepaid card so the price per coffee will decrease.
The coffee was pretty good and had an intense flavor. But after half an hour I forgot the taste so it did not amaze me. Nevertheless, the cappuccino was good! Not too hot and had some latte art which I liked. The cafe is pretty and the service was super good! It was a little bit too warm inside. They have several places in- and outside and also offer some pastries. The price was normal...
