Marcantonio Trattoria - Pizzeria — Restaurant in Odense Kommune

Here in Marcantonio you can enjoy really tasty italian food. I came here "just" to eat pizza, so I can talk about it but I've seen also what others has ordered at it looked great too. I've eaten a pizza Romana, with anchovies and it was really good. The dough, it's cooking, the tomato sauce, mozzarella and anchovies were really good and it is something really difficult to find outside Italy. I've drunk a Peroni speciale bianca and it was good. In the menu offert there was also dessert in and we have chosen a tiramisù and s chocolate cake. I'm always careful ordering tiramisù because it is easy to make it too liquid or too dry. These was excellent. A big soft and enjoyable piece of tiramisù. Chocolate cake was an explosion of chocolate. Menu was 199 dkk for pizza, three different bruschette and dessert. Good value...

Nice atmosphere, prices are decent, but pizza-wise quite average. Last time I went I tried one with caramelized onions and although I liked the flavors, it felt as if there could be more balance and certainly more toppings (though I didn't mind that much). I felt the pizzas were better before, now they seem to be burnt a bit more than needed and the dough seemed way too thin than the prior times I went (thinner than a crepe). My friend's pasta lacked salt (it was the seafood kind). I love that you can take your leftovers home to reduce food waste, and the service was ok. Would I go again? The margerita pizza was really really good. Easily one of the best margerita pizzas that I've had outside of Italy. The only issue I had with the place was when they charged me for the water which was not mentioned to be earlier. They charged me for the tap water which is absurd considering the fact that tap water is for free. Had they told me earlier, I would not have drank the water, plus I had my own bottle of water with me which was meant for me to drink when needed. Atleast they should mention that they charge for the water so that I have an option to choose. Food was good. I would probably visit again, but this time, will just drink...
