Disclaimer: possibly one of few open restaurants in the area (most of them are exclusive for guests of resorts, hence the abuse)
Arrived at 8 PM, ordered grilled lobster and shrimps, waited for 40’, probably the minimum time to borrow from the nearest supermarket and defrost the ingredients…
The kind of service that makes you feel you should stay at your room, instead of ordering food, Had to beg some napkins from another table, because our table only had wet surface and dirtyness.
The only authentic thing about the atmosphere was the smell of sewage. That was the real thing.
All in all, a colossal rip-off, here’s the scam: the menu features the price per 1 lb, the waitress says “today we only have 2 lbs lobsters” and they bring you a shrunk, dry and ‘freshly defrost’ lobster way below 2lbs
Before the tab comes, you are well aware that any discussion is hopeless.
If you have minimum food standards and some dignity, make yourself a favor and avoid this place. Nobody needs to waste money and to feel stupid at the same time.
What is remarkable though, is that King Lobster stays as my worst dining experience ever: of course I have eaten badly before, but I’ve never felt that abused in terms of price,...
Read moreHave you ever heard the saying “You are what you eat.” In this instance it applies to king lobster because they must eat a**. Their food was hands down one of the worst foods I had ever eaten. Not only was the food bad the service was just as awful, maybe even worst! They reel you in to their restaurant by being “nice” and “friendly” but after you pay the whopping $200+ without tip they drop their smiles real fast and their attitude towards you becomes just as nasty as their food. We probably waited over an hour maybe two for our food to be cold and the what seemed to be scraps of seafood that we ordered was just absolutely gut wrenching. All in all this was one of the worst restaurants I’ve ever been to and I highly DISCOURAGE you going here. We made the mistake of pushing through staying there even when there wasn’t anybody else there. We also kept on getting pestered by salespeople with items they wouldn’t stop forcing on you to buy. They should really look into changing their name to king of cold & disgusting food, bad service, and expensive...
Read morePrices were more expensive than in US, poor service, poor presentation, dirty unkempt restaurant. We were the only customers in the restaurant and the beach was full. I'm pretty sure they pay people to pull the tourists over, as soon as we stepped out of the taxi a man tried to get us to follow him, when we explained we were going to eat, he walked us over and showed us the menu so he could claim us. A little advice...instead of raising prices and taking advantage of tourists, lower your prices and you may have more customers. 4 adults and 1 child we drank water and had a small plate of ceviche each and the total was $100 we felt very taken advantage of, but after paying a taxi to get there we chose to stay and eat. If this is how you treat your tourists, we will take our vacations in...
