The Taproom Punta Cana — Restaurant in Higüey

We travel to Punta Cana every 3 months and were excited to try this new restaurant. The menu was diverse and there were a lot of options for beer. They had a lot of beers on tap, and you pay by the ounce. While we were there, we had the steak, chicken and pork tacos and the steak salad. We also tried the mozzarella sticks appetizer, which was very good. We went back another night and I had the steak and chicken skewers, which were tasty but they were burnt. My only negative would be that the staff are not attentive, and they spend more time at the bar talking to each other then they do conversing with the customers. I would recommend the food...

The atmosphere was interesting, very vibrant and looked very nice, the owner was very kind and helpful. His staff however were quite the opposite the service was abnormally slow. We ordered multiple things off the menu one coming with completely different foods then what were on the menu. Prices were fine but the food was mediocre at best. We were only informed of items not being available once the food arrived. Once again service other than the owner was awful we had to order multiple times from multiple people and the food took an unreasonable amount of time to come out also with food items being falsely advertised...

Food was fresh and delicious. We had two sets of wings, teriyaki and BBQ, we tried the fish and chips and the nachos. The music is on point, the food was out quickly and the family enjoyed listening to an array of music from Cindy Lauper to AC/DC, Earth Wind and Fire Guns N’ Roses etc. the service was attentive and friendly. The decor is inviting with indoor and outdoor option. It is located in an up and coming safe location in the heart of Bavaro. I will surely be coming back with friends...
