Café Roma Pizzería — Restaurant in Santo Domingo

It was late and I was looking for an open spot. They invited me in and I went. I ordered some pasta, as soon as I was served they started turning off the TV and some lights, cleaning around, and not even 10mn after closing the blinds of the restaurant. The food was VERY ordinary, just a canned sauce with added garlic I guess.

The when I was given the bill I found out the prices on the menu didn't include taxes, and had to pay much more. She told me it was the way it worked in Dominican Republic. I spent 2 weeks eating outside in various regions of the country and can confirm it's not true.

I'll give you an advice, walk 2mn away towards the ice cream shop "Bon", you'll see a little restaurant next door, local food and local prices, no tax...

Most boring risotto on earth. Fries had a taste of used oil, and salad was so sad that even a vegan would feel bad about it. Prices are too high for what you get. What happened to the pizza quality in this place? Look at the photo that I attached. This is supposed to be a margarita. There's no cheese on it, it's extremely dry, there is little to no tomato sauce and it tasted terrible. This place used to have some of the best pizza in the entire city.
