Chef David has knocked it out of the park!!! In Santo Domingo for Samana Santa weekend and we find Kaychef's just around the corner. Exquisite decor with many unique little corners and a quaint garden in the back. We sampled many different dishes; grilled fish tacos / sesame ginger tuna, Annie's Salad and Mofongos con Camarone. Everything was outstanding, from the flavours, to the abundant proteins and portion sizes. Topping this off they feature a dessert room with so many temptations. Our only downfall was lactose intolerance (I was sad as I watched our friend devour 2 desserts!!!). You NEED to put this place on your visit to SD!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND and we will definitely be back - looking so forward to enjoying wine with a dinner. Thank you to the staff for helping with my limited Spanish and always having smiles for...

Kaychefs puts Santo Domingo's historical center on the map when it comes to providing a world-class dining experience. Chef David has traveled around the world as a chef and has incorporated his experience with different culinary techniques and ingredients to create savory, memorable, and delicious dishes. The Peri-Peri chicken was amazing if you like spices and rich flavors in your food, but there were also milder seafood dishes which my husband ordered and enjoyed. Even something as simple as the rice and beans, which is one of options to accompany the main dishes, was unique and flavorful, different from other rice dishes that I have tasted. I am already missing the food and hope to return to Santo Domingo soon to have another meal at...

During our casual exploration of the area, my wife and I stumbled upon this charming spot. Chef David greeted us warmly and shared some valuable insights about both the menu and the city. With his suggestions, we tried three dishes that turned out to be absolutely fantastic. Surprisingly, the crab cake dish he recommended won me over, despite not usually being a fan. It was, without a doubt, the highlight of our vacation dining.

What made the visit even more memorable was that it was the first place to authentically showcase Caribbean cuisine's vibrant flavors. This unique aspect added an extra layer of enjoyment to our culinary journey.

If you happen to be around, I definitely suggest dropping by for some great drinks and...

A really great find. More Haitian style food and it was delicious. Jerk pork had amazing flavor, just a bit over cooked but still amazing. I forget what root/potato was underneath but it was incredible. Even the small, chilled salad had a surprisingly outstanding seasoning. The burger was WAY bigger than expected. The menu didn’t mention an egg (I would have loved that but my wife has an intolerance-a simple take it off was fine). She loved the burger and fries. We had a special guest join us for our meal. He was so friendly and talkative. I would come back just to visit him but the food is so good, I would return regardless.
