Would go again, but only for the cold and hot mezze. We ordered hummus Beirut, falafel, spicy potatoes, grilled kebab cubes, Samaka beiroutia.

Hummus Beirut: 8/10 mix of hummus with tahini, with olive oil on top and shredded tomatoes. I would definitely order it again, but the tahini flavour wasn’t as strong as expected and I would ask for it without the extra olive oil on top - completely personal preference though! spicy potatoes - 10/10 i could not stop eating these i was OBSESSED. Theres definitely a kick to them, probably too spicy for those who cant handle spice at all, but its not overtly spicy.

grilled kebab cubes: 5/10 cubes of lamb meat, was kind of chewy, included a few cubes of just fat, I would not order again

samaka beiroutia- 1/10 we each took one bite and gave the plate back to the kitchen :( it was a breaded, fried fillet of seabass doused in sauce which made the breaded fillet incredibly soggy and made the taste oily and soft. Please dont get this

Service: the waiter seemed annoyed and impatient with us, but other waiters were very nice, so I think the service is entirely circumstantial based on who you get and how that person is feeling that day - which can be entirely valid! However we did feel a bit rushed to order and he incorrectly added in an extra water bottle to our check.

Taboula has a very nice ambience. Soft music playing in the background allows for conversations without the need to shout at each other. The attendants are very friendly. We asked to change our table and they were very receptive. The food is fresh and delicious with normal waiting time from the order to the delivery at the table. My friends and I ordered 5 different dishes from the menu and enjoyed every dish apart from the chicken wings which were a bit bland and dry. The chicken liver was a favourite from all of us. It was difficult to select dessert from the menu since the choices were all in arabic, however we got an attendant who translated for us. We ended up trying just one dessert dubbed the Egyprian ice cream. which we liked. However I found the seating comfortable but too drab and crowded in their attempt at capturing a cosy living room.
