LA PLAYA — Restaurant in Gamsha

A lovely spot in El Gouna. You need a reservation to get a sunbed and to book a table too I'm sure. They're very responsive on messenger. A misunderstanding happened and they canceled my reservation even though I informed them that I'll be an hour late (I reserved the sunbed for the entire day anyway) but I still want my sunbed. They set up a chair and a beanbag for me instead, I was there to have fun and relax so i didn't want to make a fuss about it.

I got the chicken satay to start off and it was good. The peanut sauce was nice. They bring a little coffee tin and light it to keep the small flies away and it works. Cocktails were nice but not strong (local liquor). Later that night I got their seafood pasta which was very flavorful and tasty. Not a lot of seafood in there but still it was delicious.

Overall, I enjoyed my day at La Playa. Friendly staff, my waiter Macario was very nice. Great music and vibe. If you're looking for a great place to hang out, eat and drink by the beach then...

Went there for a birthday meal. The food and service exceeded our expectations! Best pasta in el gouna so far, cooked al dente and was delicious all in all. I went for the saffron shrimp spaghetti, my bf for the saffron risotto and my bro for the gorgonzola chicken. Everything we had was just amazing and reasonably priced. The starters were great, too (fried calamari and the carpaccio). The location is super cute, right on the beach. This place is lovely! Great location and the food was superb! We got a selection of things. My calazone was tasty, others in our group said their chicken curry and their filet steak were really good. I tried a bit of my partners shrimp risotto and it was amazing. The Crème Brûlée and Om Ali for desert were fantastic too! They've clearly got a very good chef! We're going back there today to use their beach and sunbeds and spoil ourselves with drinks and good food. Oh, also, this place has the cleanest toilets in Egypt! Always...
