Heightopia Lounge — Restaurant in Giza

While looking for a scenic place to dine for our first night in Giza, located Heightopia and saw positive reviews. We made the 25 minute walk from our hotel, and found the reviews to be well guided!!

Enjoyed refreshing virgin Mojitos - Julie had the Passion Fruit and I enjoyed a Strawberry! The mint and soda made for A refreshing sensation on a very warm Giza evening dining outside!

For a starter, we shared a Beetroot Salad with arugula, pistachios and feta - delightful flavours! Dinner was a Seafood Risotto - calamari and shrimp. The risotto was rich and creamy, and the seafood fresh while not heaps of it on the plate.

The views of the pyramids and sunset was exceptional, as the pictures show!

Overall, very good value for a tasty meal and sensational views of Giza, the Great Pyramids and sunset!!

Be aware you enter a hotel with no concierge, and take an elevator up to the 11th floor to find the restaurant entrance... Something to watch for if walking to this worthwhile establishment....

Lovely rooftop restaurant with picture perfect views overlooking the Giza Plateau and the Great Pyramids. The view isn't the only draw however as the establishment promises attentive and friendly service, tasteful and modern decor and ambiance, and convenient location near some of the country's most frequented touristic sights including the Grand Egyptian Museum, Pyramids, Saqqara and Dahshur.

The food is worthy of mentioning apart from the rest of these fantastic assets, with an extensive and well thought out menu comprising a variety of oriental, mediterranean and asian-fusion options to suit all manner of tastes. The dishes are served promptly and contain fresh and locally-sourced ingredients with a careful presentation. The drinks menu is equally as impressively curated with various healthy and dessert smoothies, fresh juices, teas and coffee, soft drinks and more.
