L'imperatore Marina — Restaurant in Red Sea

One of the worst restaurants we have been to, unfortunately. We have ordered lasagna and mushroom soup, but were dissapointed. The soup was ok, but too salty, but the lasagna... definitely the worst one I have eaten. It was too watery and too salty with cheese that tasted so bad (not like cheese at all) i didn't even eat it.

To make things worse, the waiters didn't really pay attention to us, they just stood there ignoring the guests, they even didn't offer us blankets because of the cold wind (we only noticed they have them when one of the guests asked for it 40 minutes after we were freezing there).

But it doesn't end there.. when I asked to pay, I mentioned the food was bad and that we were unfortunately not satisfied. We of course payed the full price, they didn't even offer a discount, which would have been nice of them. The thing that really bothered me is that when I converted the price on the check to USD it showed me 16.7$, so i gave 17$, and then they complained that it is not enough so I had to leave 1 more $...

So summary, don't go there, they are not polite to customers and the...

Where do i even start…. I have absolutely no idea how this place can have such a high rating. Sure the location is nice and decorations are very cozy but that’s about it!

We started by ordering drinks of which one was a beer, a Desperados. The waiter brings a Heineken. We tell him we didn’t order this, we ordered a desperados. He says yes this is it. We said no this is clearly a heineken and he replied ”yes different restaurants just call it differently. Like are you kidding?! Go bring what we ordered! So after that he changed the beer to the correct one.

Then it’s time for the food. 3 out of 5 food orders were wrong and did not match what was stated in the menu. The waiter refused to listen and said no this is the correct order. Until we got the menu from another waiter and then showed that this is what we ordered because this is what it says in the menu and what we have infront of us is not it! So the 2 who got the correct food ate it but unfortunately even that was pretty tasteless. The rest of us sent the food back and left to eat...

In 2023, this was my favorite restaurant. In 2024, unfortunately, it is now the worst!

I ordered the entrecote (medium well) with herb butter and rosemary potatoes (like every year)

I got the steak without butter. After waiting another 5 minutes, my food was brought to me again. However, the entrecote was well done.

So I sent the entrecote back and asked for a new one in medium well. The steak was also medium. In addition, the steak was of very, very poor quality and much smaller than last year.

I also got fries instead of potatoes with rosemary, which were swimming in the blood of the medium entrecote.

I can no longer recommend this restaurant to anyone. My complaint was responded to very unfriendly From the waiter.

The manager or boss is really nice and cool. At the end we got free tequila but that doesn't make the bad food any better.

The menu says: "all prices include 14% tax". But the bill says another 14% tax. So check your...
