This is the primary place for food within the Pure Life Aldau hotel and I used it numerous times during our stay here for Breakfast and Dinner.
Staying in the pure life hotel also gives you access to the ALDAU buffet next door. When making a choice between here (at the Gourmet market) or to head next door, my general advice would be if you want variety choose the ALDAY buffet next door but if you want quality then choose here!
Breakfast: The Breakfast was very tasty, but i would have liked a little more variety. There are plenty of bakery items, fresh fruit, pancakes, waffles and they will make the eggs as you like them. For a fry up style breakfast options are a little different (for someone coming from the uk), there isn't much pork out in Egypt so the bacon was a beef bacon which were actually a decent substitute and the sausages were like processed sausages (chicken and or beef also). There was also some veg, rice and potato available.
Dinner: Dinner was nice, again the options weren't as varied as the hotel next door, but the quality was much better. I did love the Pizza and went back there a few times and the guy serving it was really nice!
There was roast lamb and also lamb kebabs one night which were probably one of my favourite options that they did.
My only slight criticism is that it would have been good to see what they would be doing each evening in advance as there was usually a bit of a theme or at least some different things on offer on different days. This would have helped us to plan in advance with the a la carte options.
The last thing to mention here is the stunning view. There are both inside and outside tables and the views from this 4th floor restaurant over the complex are brilliant.
Service was usually perfect as it was in the rest of the resort, there was only one time that we were offered drinks and a blanket but they never appeared and we ended up leaving a little earlier as it was cold.
Dress Code: We visited in the winter and whilst they have a dress code, it did range from smart to smart and very casual. There were a few people in jeans and t-shirt and also a few men in smart tailored style shorts. The dress was a little more relaxed in the mornings than it was in...
