Simple little place with a small menu consisting almost exclusively of tacos. Not the friendliest initial welcome, but service was ultimately efficient enough. High quality food, large portions, and fair prices. We started with a Chips & Dips platter (salsa, guac, pico). The chips were freshly fried after we ordered them, and were unbelievably good! They even brought us a little extra salsa (and without any charge, unless another "bigger" Mexican restaurant in Tallinn that charges Є6 for salsa!). The BirriaTacos came in a set of 3, each of them absolutely loaded with beef. I was nervous about ordering this, because some places fry the tortillas in oil for Birrias, and the whole thing is an oil-dripping mess, but that is not a problem here. The homemade tortillas were OK, but to be honest, I liked the tortillas they use for the nacho chips more. Their Margarita was also tasty. A bit small, but also not expensive, so it was fine. Overall, this was the best of the 3 Mexican restaurants we tried in Tallinn, and if I lived here, El Camino would be my regular go-to. I'd love to see what they could do with some Enchiladas or Chimichangas, and maybe add Horachata to the...
Read moreI've been going to this joint for almost 2 years, so it's high time that I write a review for it.
This taco place serves, hands down, the best tacos I have EVER had the pleasure of eating. I don't say that lightly either. My friends and I have made it an almost weekly ritual to eat here. Because: It is outrageously good. The owner/chef is an absolute legend. This is the best Mexican food in Estonia, probably the Baltics, and possibly even Europe.
That last one is a big call, I know. But I've been to nearly every country in Europe, and not a single Mexican joint I've tried even remotely comes close.
Authentic. Explosive flavours. Zero pretension. Just incredible food made by someone who gives a damn about what they're making.
This place is an Estonian destination. Get ready to be obsessed with it.
Recommendations: All are good but my 3 favourites are pescado,...
Read moreWe sat down outside behind a table that had dirty dishes on it so the customer had left. We were sitting and looking at the menu to order but we were asked to leave the table because someone who had ordered wanted to sit there.
Weirdest. Thing. I’ve ever. Experienced. 😄
The food was great (from past orders, this time we took our hungry bellies elsewhere) but wont be coming back or recommending anyone to sit on the spot.
Sorry but its normal etiquette to be seated and look at the menu. Not be told to sit elsewhere because you havent ordered. 🤦♀️🤦♀️ and i had brought a new...
