Unique atmosphere, subpar service, good food
This place has a cool atmosphere. It's basically two terraces built around a decommissioned rail road cart.
When we arrived at the place, there was no queue at the counter. Despite this no one acknowledged our presence. After we asked the person behind the counter whether they'd prefer us to order there at the counter or from a table, we were told to find a table.
At the table we ended up waiting 10 - 15 minutes before the waiter came to take our order. This was despite it seemed that only maybe 40% of the tables were occupied.
Luckily the food and the drinks were prepared fast. The waiter didn't remember which way we ordered our drinks. Mind you, we were two people ordering two beers and a burger and fries. Unfortunately, the drinks were warm as well.
The food itself was amazing.
After we had finished with our food and drinks, we waited for the waiter to come check up on us so we could pay. After around 20 minutes we stood up and queued to the counter to pay. The waiter at the counter asked which table we were sitting at, despite being the same person who had taken our order.
At the counter we noticed the writing on one of the cart windows saying that they have table service. We thought that maybe this was the reason for the reluctant service. But then again, as we waited at the table, we observed other people being not acknowledged at their tables, getting up and ordering at the counter.
Overall, we were left with mixed feelings. Cool place and great food that were cast a bit of a shadow on by the handwarm...
Read moreLet me be completely honest here - my expectations were low. This place used to have crazy parties a couple of summers back, and I really didn't feel the vibe then.
However, well-known burger spots had really long delivery times, so I set my expectations low and gave it a shot.
I was super suprised. The burger was 10/10 - like really. The size, the meat, the bun. Everything tasted fresh and well put together. Sauce was amazing, and fortunately they included it also for the fries. Cheese was melted and creamy, tasted really good. Packaging was nice and the whole eating delivered food wasn't a mess at all. And it was biodegradeable too.
Now the fries were just fries, but these might be the best regular fries I've had in a while. Just the right texture and a right amount of salt. Paired with the sauce they included, 10/10.
I've been a burger-nut for a long time now and I'm really picky about these, but will most definitely order from there again. Surpriser...
Read moreNestled between two old train carts, this place offers the idea of a good vibe, however I found the actual experience to miss the mark. The traditional food was good, however other things on the menu were just plan disappointing. I ordered the chicken nuggets thinking I was going to get some interesting Estonian twist, but it was literally just frozen-packet chicken nuggets which made the price a bit ridiculous. They should put it under a children’s section on the menu. The worst part of the experience was the “DJ” in the back who couldn’t decide what volume he wanted to the music. Loud. Quiet. Normal. Super-loud! It was very distracted and took away from a...
