I was quite surprised to see one of the employees wearing a shirt with the Confederate flag which itself is in extremely bad taste in my opinion. But I was frankly quite baffled to see the "Arbeit macht frei" on the front of that shirt. One can debate over the meaning of these symbols separately in certain contexts, but these two combined on one shirt leaves very little room for such debate and is utterly disgusting in modern day Europe. Honestly, how did you collectively reach a decision that not only is it ok to wear such a shirt at work, but none of you thought to ask her to change it to a less inappropriate one. With everything going on in Europe and elsewhere, you all thought that this is OK to have an employee wear symbols of racism and slavery on the back of the shirt with a strong reference to Holocaust and Nazi Germany on the front? If it's some sort of a misunderstanding, please try to avoid it as much as possible in the future. If not and wearing such things is in fact endorsed at your place, please be a bit more open about the sort of far-right neo-Nazi racist atmosphere you're trying to create in that restaurant of yours so that customers are aware before entering and ordering their food. Since this review cannot be about one employee and one shirt, then I'll try to be objective here. The food was not bad, but also a bit mediocre. The BBQ brisket wasn't smoked or BBQd, but tasted more like a beef stew. The side salad was better. I cannot comment on other dishes, but at least this one is something I would...
Read moreI tried the 'short ribs' dish, and it was probably the worst thing I've ever had to eat in my life. It was an absolute culinary disaster. I can't believe how poorly it looked and tasted.
First and foremost, the ribs were simply saturated with fat. I couldn't even taste the meat properly because of this excessive fat. It was greasy and unpleasant to the touch. How can such a high fat content be acceptable in any dish?
Secondly, the taste was far from what I expected. Instead of a rich, meaty flavor of beef, I experienced an extremely sweet taste. It was as if someone had added a generous portion of sugar to the dish. I simply can't comprehend how such a sweet taste can be considered acceptable in beef.
This dish completely ruined a good product. I've always appreciated beef for its juicy and meaty flavor, but this dish made it unacceptable.
And to top it all off, I detected a stale taste in every bite. It was absolutely unpleasant.
I do not recommend trying this dish to anyone. It was absolutely terrible, and I can't even express how disappointed I am.
Please consider the possibility of involving experienced personnel for the preparation of this dish, as my disappointing experience speaks for itself. Otherwise, I would advise removing this dish from your menu, as it provided me with the worst culinary...
Read moreVisiting a whiskey and BBQ restaurant is always an exhilarating experience and my recent visit to One Sixty Smokehouse left an indelible mark in my memory as it showcased an impeccable fusion of smoky barbecue dishes and an awe-inspiring whiskey cocktails. Firstly, the ambiance of the restaurant was truly remarkable. The industrial grunge decor perfectly complements the theme of a whiskey and BBQ establishment. The dim lighting, rock music, motorcycles and smoke in the air gives you a little clue that this place does thing right. Now, let's talk about the star of the show – the food. The barbecue offerings were simply outstanding. One Sixty succeeds in tantalising the taste buds with their mouthwatering array of BBQ dishes. Every bite of their smoky, tender brisket, perfectly charred ribs, and succulent pulled pork transported me to BBQ heaven and let's not forget about those voodoo prawns and tacos - it's a must try! I opted for whiskey sour for my desert and I can tell you honestly it was best decision i could make. Overall, I cannot recommend this place enough. From the delectable food to the scrumptious cocktails and exceptional service, every aspect of my dining experience was top-notch. If you are a fan of whiskey and BBQ, this place is...
