I recently had the pleasure of dining at Beer and Barrel, and I must say that it was an absolutely fantastic experience. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant has a cozy environment that immediately made me feel right at home.
The food at Beer and Barrel is truly a culinary delight. I had the opportunity to try their crispy pork shank with fried sauerkraut, and it was nothing short of incredible. The pork was cooked to perfection, with a crispy outer layer and tender, juicy meat inside. The fried sauerkraut added a unique and delicious twist to the dish. Every bite was bursting with flavor, and I was truly impressed by the quality of the meal.
Not only was the food exceptional, but the service at Beer and Barrel was top-notch as well. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure that every need was met. They went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was memorable and enjoyable. I truly felt like a valued guest throughout my visit.

Read moreReally disappointing meal on our last night in Tallinn. It’s the most we paid for a meal since being here, and the most disappointing experience of all.
After specifically asking the size of the pork knuckle dish, we were told it would feed 4, with no sides needed. We were told it would take 40 mins to come. It took minimum 60 mins. We ordered it between 3 and it was not nearly enough. The pork knuckle came with sauerkraut and a sauce, no potatoes or bread. When asked how we found our meal, we let the waiter know it wasn’t enough for 3, and he said it must have been ‘a small pig’.
Our friend ordered dumplings, which didn’t arrive with everyone else’s meals despite the long wait, the server immediately saying this was the kitchen’s fault. He said this would take 10 extra minutes to arrive. It ended up taking around 20 minutes, by which time the rest of us had finished eating.
On receiving the bill, no discount was offered. We asked if there would be a discount at least for the dumplings and the waiter only offered 10% off that dish. Upon inquiring further they offered 10% off the bill.
We did not feel at all respected, or that we should have had to bargain for a discount seeing as we were mis-sold one dish, and had to wait so long for another.
We really don’t recommend wasting your money and time in this...
Read moreI can't say enough good things about Bear and Barrel! From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by the cozy ambiance and friendly atmosphere. The beer and whiskey selection is top-notch, offering a wide variety to suit every taste for a friendly price for an old town. As a connoisseur, I was thoroughly impressed.
Now, let's talk about the food. Oh my goodness, where do I begin? We indulged in a feast fit for royalty - from the succulent chebureki with lamb to the crispy French fries, every bite was a symphony of flavors. The dumplings were heavenly, the chicken schnitzel was cooked to perfection, and the different jerky options were a delightful surprise. And let's not forget about the garlic bread; it was the epitome of comfort food done right.
But what truly made our experience unforgettable was our waiter, Anastasia. Her attentiveness and warm hospitality elevated our dining experience to a whole new level. A special thanks to her for making us feel like VIPs.
Overall, Bear and Barrel exceeded all our expectations. Whether you're looking for great drinks, delicious food, or exceptional service, this place has it all. Can't wait to...
