Bolt refunded my order but I still feel like I should leave a review cause the ones here seem misleading. I excitedly ordered cause it's buy 1 take 1 and cause of the reviews. They also claim to be "True Japanese Ramen" but it's the furthest from the truth. I got chashu ramen and the soup is bland. I can't taste the flavour of the chashu pork that it didn't seem like it was braised with sake, soy sauce, mirin beforehand. The most shocking is the noodles. On their menu photos, it looks normal soba. But the one that arrived is green noodles that has weird taste and doesn't go completely with the soup. I cannot figure out what is not, but the closest taste is overcooked spaghetti with green colouring. I tried to eat and use both soups and ingredients for one bowl of noodles but couldn't bring myself to eat it. Even the light pink coloured egg is very offputting. You can't just put random noodles in any soup flavour, call it ramen, and charge 14.5 euros. I am not even comparing this to the ramen in Asia. I am comparing this to the available ramen here in Europe, which is always a hit or miss. I'm a picky eater but I still always eat what is served to me. This is the first time ever I completely threw out food after only 2 bites. EDIT after 10 months since you only responded today: I'm sorry you find my review "overwhelmingly bitter" when I just described your food and my experience. The way it tasted won't make a difference whether it was straight out of the kitchen or delivered. It was just bland and the noodles are like pasta. Also, isn't it a bit difficult to find out why they tasted how I described it after 10 months.

In advance: the quality of the food (Ramen) was quite good. The ambiance of the restaurant was also okay. Unfortunately, there was some trouble with the bill. Since three small bottles of water (0.5 liters) were not available, we were offered to bring a large bottle of water (1 liter) instead. We now expected to be charged for the water at the price of 2 small bottles as the large bottle was a substitute for our actual order. However, the bill stated a higher price, which we had not been informed of beforehand. The waitress didn't want to understand that this was not okay in our opinion and she only relented after a lengthy discussion. Good customer service definitely looks different! By the way, this was definitely not a linguistic misunderstanding. As a native Estonian, my wife is of course also fluent in Estonian. Also annoying, although acceptable, this restaurant charges a flat service charge. One can only hope that the staff gets a share of this as a substitute for tips. At least that's how it is handled in other countries. In our experience, such a fee is unusual in Estonia and we clearly prefer being able to decide for ourselves how much the service was worth to us. Where else is the incentive for the staff!

The food is good but the art of what the a ramen dish is needs to be further studied, experimented and rebranded from the restaurant because sorry it’s not a traditional ramen at all. I highly recommend for the owner and chef to visit other ramen places and get a better feel and understanding of the dish to improve in the long run. The bowls are not ramen bowls, there was not much flavour to the broth, only vegetables present were spring onion and edamame beans, frankly, it’s insulting to not any include bok choy ! Moreover, the Gyoza also, the gyoza were very nice however it’s a food that in its art should be steamed and fried not solely fried ! The chef needs to gain more understanding of Asian culinary. To conclude the food is good but it’s not a true art and portrayal of the dishes being served.

It was our favorate restaraunt for ramen until today. Last time we visited it seemed that noodles in ramen were regular pasta. Our minds were elsewere and we weren't sure.

I believe we were served by owner today.

We ordered tuna sashimi, which I loved very much. Also one small salmon ramen and one big pork ramen When we got or food I asked if there were right noodles in ramen. Waiter told "Yes" very quickly and left.

When we started to eat ramen it was clear to us that noodles were regular pasta and small and big ramen were same size. Big ramen was just in bigger bowl. I ate everything in my soup except noodles. My boyfrend ate all his ramen.

After we finished and asked for check I told waiter there are 2 things I'd like to say. First thing was that noodles were regular pasta. He got very defencive and upset, told us very certain "No" and nothing more. After I said again that these were definitely pasta he got angry and we argued over noodles. I tried to explain that there is clear differenc but he didn´t care. Then he left to clean table near us.

I called him back and told that portions were also same size, big ramen wasn't big. He got angrier and denied that too. Both I and my boyfriend told that we are regulars there and always small portion and big portion have been different sizes not only bowls themselves. He claimed that portions have always been like this and asked if we weighd portions. Then I lost my nerve completly. I was already angry but I got very angry now.

I told him he shoud buy better glasses. For that I really apologise, I was impolite and went overboard.

I regret I did't take any photos of our food. And from the start me saying that noodles were pasta, he scoffed and rolled his eyes during our argument.

I understand that he didn't like that kind of feedback but his knowledge on customer service is zero. It would've been ok if he disagreed and politly explained us why he think that we were wrong.

We left with really bad emotions and...

Bad food, unfair prices, loud atmosphere, untrained service: The prices on the menu don't include VAT, which you can do but it's not common in Tallinn and it's not nice to your customers. Our bill was larger than we expected and for nothing. The ramen is not good - I don't know how you have so many five star reviews. We paid 2€ extra to get spicy (which is ridiculous) and it wasn't even then spicy. The best thing about ramen should be the broth but it did not have the smooth texture. The flavor was dominated by the sprouts and green onion. It was obvious the waiters have not had almost any training. It was really obvious. I don't blame them, they were polite and nice but you need to do your part. We sat in the room next to the kitchen and there was loud music coming from the kitchen, mixed with music from the other room. You can't have so loud music in the kitchen of you have tables right next to the kitchen door. I ordered whiskey sour and it was served in a wine glass - I don't know if the cocktail was badly made or its the glass but when drinking I couldn't taste drink, just the foam. It wasn't whiskey sour.

So we paid the 60€ bill (appetiser, one large and one small ramen, one cocktail and the 5€ water) and went to Rimi to find something good to eat because we were completely dissatisfied. Until now I've considered Tallinn as city with excellent restaurant and service culture but you ruined that reputation. All these mistakes can be fixed but I'm completely stunned that you run...
