This is not a 5 star hotel and they do not deserve the price they ask you to pay. Booked a large family room for 2 adults and two children which turned out to be half empty and under equipped with some necessary stuff like wardrobe 😅 they have a tiny storage without shelfs and drawers in a room for 4 people! For €750 per night we had to put our clothes on the floor around the room. Complained twice to different members of staff, but with no success. There is a price list of drinks and snacks that are not in the room. In fact there is no minibar, kettle or fridge in the room. When asked about it - we were told we could order those stuff, but there is no phone in the room either 🙈 pool is very cold and not welcoming. Sauna isn't working, unless you ask to turn it on in advance. No public areas like lobby, bar, etc. restaurant is open for breakfast only, but if you didn't order it in advance, you won't get it. So according to staff we had to order - wardrobe, breakfast, lamp (there isn't any reading light or a simple table lamp in the room), fridge, drinks for minibar....🙈 The room is half empty lacking sitting area, light, storage and basic comfort. They were trying to pretend as if it is our fault that we didn't order anything, so they just gave us beds and roof for the ridiculous price. Thanks God we didn't have to order hot water for specific hours. We did not want to stay there and ruin our family holidays, so moved out after one night. Regent charged us for the whole period of our initial booking and refused to issue any refund. It feels like we were robbed by a group...
Read moreAbsolutely solid upscale hotel in Old Town. It's a bit old school though, and I confused the staff because of it. They have old school keys with a heavy weight that is intended to be dropped off at the front desk before you leave. I wasn't informed of this system upon arrival and it led to a bit of awkwardness at 1am when I tried to get back in the hotel and the concierge thought everyone was in their room and was not at the front desk to hear the bell. Fortunately I had my phone working on local voice/data and was able to call the hotel and have them let me in.
The staff use the keys to know when you are away so they can clean the room and if everyone is back at night so as to relax the front desk, and it confused me.
Other than this situation, the hotel was absolutely on point. Fantastic amenities, great sauna, solid breakfast, friendly service, and a great room with incredible views. My room in the roof and the air con was fantastic at making sure it wasn't too hot. Shower was solid and I appreciated the bidet!
Location is extremely convenient, right at the front of Old Town and has a ton of fixtures that show off its medieval...
Read moreA very welcoming and spotlessly clean hotel at the edge of the Old Town which makes it handy for all the attractions. Our top floor bedroom was spacious with a comfy bed, TV, safe and Nespresso. The ensuite had an excellent shower in a walk in cabinet. The night light system in the bedroom & ensuite is an excellent idea. They give you a mobile phone for your personal use loaded with a list of numbers incase you want to order room service or a taxi etc. The staff were efficient and courteous and were always on hand to answer any questions or help you out. The room was cleaned daily, bedding and towels were also changed daily. Breakfast was cooked to order and served between 9 and 10.30, so no need to get up at the crack of dawn like some places. There is a small spa & a couple of exercise machines but no swimming pool. A minor criticism is the limited number of English speaking channels available on the TV.|All in all we had a very pleasant stay here and would...
