KAI Estonia — Restaurant in Tallinn

We prebooked well in advance with other three friends for the Paella event. 25 EUR each. Fresh made paella and one glass of sangria included, with some live latin music.

We arrived at 8, and waited in our table. Meanwhile we ordered also a bowl of chips, as we were hungry and were not sure what time the paella would be ready for. We asked at least 4 times for the follwing 1.30 hours when paella is going to arrive..but..at 9.45 still nothing. Meanwhile we saw other tables being served the paella. We thought they would come to our table too. Wishful thinking.

The last time we asked was around 9.50 pm, a manager came and said they they were really sorry, they had forgotten about us. They tried to make it up by offering 1l of sangria..

The paella finally came, at around 10, after the last enquiry. I think it was just warmed up.

I wouldn't expect to have a premium service, but at least some basic service like not forgetting to serve the food you already paid for. Once they realised about the mistake it was nice they tried to make up with some free sangria, but I would have expected they would refund us the full expenses, considering the very poor service, and considering they totally forgot about serving us the paella even after we...

"Kai" restaurant is a place you want to visit again and again! I recently had the pleasure of spending an evening there, and I was absolutely delighted.

From the very beginning, I was captivated by the atmosphere: cozy, inviting, and perfect for a pleasant time. The interior is tastefully decorated, creating a feeling of warmth and comfort.

We ordered mussels, seafood assortment, and of course, we couldn't do without a shisha. The mussels were simply divine: fresh, juicy, cooked in a flavorful sauce that just melted in your mouth. The assortment also pleased with its variety and quality: shrimp, octopus, scallops - everything was very tasty and fresh.

But it wasn't just the food that made our evening unforgettable. The shisha was amazing! Thick, fragrant smoke, a rich palette of flavors - it's a true shisha paradise.

I would also like to mention the service: the restaurant staff is very attentive, friendly, and professional. They are always ready to help, do everything to make your evening perfect.

Overall, if you want to spend an evening in a pleasant atmosphere, enjoying delicious food, great shisha, and impeccable service, then "Kai" restaurant is exactly what you need! I highly recommend visiting it and seeing...

The food : Looks good, tastes good. Portions not small. Deserts serving is very original, they aren't too sweet. The lemonade was tasty. Cocktails are beautiful.

The atmosphere : if you don't mind the surroundings (ruins of the city hall), the view is nice, the interior is atmospheric. The music is very loud and it's a shisha place.

The service : We were a big group, mains were Pre ordered a day in advance. Most of the dishes were late, some never came, some were mixed up. Starters came at the same time with mains. Drinks were coming up to 40 minutes. Deserts came immediately, coffee followed 40 minutes later. The waiters aren't in rush to take away the dishes. Moreover, when we addressed these issues, waiter was even getting rude at times "asking about missing dishes or drinks is not going to make it quicker" or "i cancelled your burger, if you want one - cook it...
