La Pineta Restoran — Restaurant in Tallinn

One of my favorites in Tallinn.

It’s far from a true Italian, let’s be honest, but that’s probably a good thing here.

Attention to detail is impeccable, whether in terms of food, service, or interior design.

Dishes are fantastic - starting with the soft, warm bread in the beginning, all of the starters whether beef tartar or octopus carpaccio were excellent - cannot decide my favorite.

In terms of the mains, both beef fillet options are incredible. My favorite is with foie gras and truffles, so many things going on, hearty, salty, beefy, fatty, creamy, and of course the fillet itself is perfectly cooked every time.

Check out the fries with the truffle sauce - superb.

Large enough portions every time that I haven’t had space to try any of the deserts yet.

Location is excellent, interior is cosy, with a gorgeous flower installation at the front.

La Pineta in Tallinn is an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality by our wonderful host Alina, who made our evening feel special from start to finish.

The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed, with a beautifully designed interior and a stunning location right by the sea — perfect for a sunset walk after dinner. The food was nothing short of exceptional: every dish was presented like art, and the flavors were pure perfection. From starters to dessert, each bite reflected top-tier Italian cuisine with a refined, modern twist.

If you’re visiting Tallinn and want to experience fine dining in a breathtaking setting, La Pineta should be at the very top of your list. We cannot recommend it enough!

We went to the restaurant for lunch with 7 people. The restaurant is clean (in the stone courtyard of the new houses) and we were immediately shown to a table and our drink orders were taken (+). The service was fast and when we got our drinks we were ready to order our food. The lunch dishes selected for lunch are 6-8€. We ordered chicken pasta, risotto with duck, a salad dish etc. The taste of the risotto was a bit weak (it felt like the chicken broth and parmesan were missing, but the duck in the sauce had a lot of flavor). The other dishes were said to be really good. Especially at lunchtime with the 6-8€ portion prices, I definitely recommend the restaurant. The service was also professional (+).
