Horrible service!

Went to this restaurant for a pickup order I had made from Bolt Food since I was close and decided to pick it up myself on my way home rather than have it delivered. When I arrived to the restaurant I wasn't greeted by any of the staff, they were all running around and ignoring me - even the hostess completely ignored me and I decided to see when would someone eventually notice and address me (I was trying to make eye contact with every staff member but they all seemed to avoid it).

I stood there next to the counter for at least 7-10 minutes before I lost my patience. The hostess was greeting guests who were coming from BEHIND me and still completely ignoring me and not even asking me if I needed help with anything, it felt like I was invisible and the fact is I wasn't even dressed like I shouldn't be there, I had a nice jacket on with clean, sharp looking boots on my feet and a bouquet of roses in my hand.

This is the worst service I've ever received and I wasn't even staying in a table for an actual dinner, which I'm convinced would have been even worse since most of the staff looked like they didn't know what they were doing and all I could hear them speak was Russian. Please educate your staff on how to provide great, anticipatory&attentive service since you seem like a high-end place (focus on the word "seem") that should have excellent service.

The restaurant has a great location, very close to the harbour and within walking distance to Tallinn Old Town. The interior was clean and nicely designed, I really liked the atmosphere. Also, the cocktails we had at the beginning were really good.

Unfortunately, the customer service was very disappointing. My friend didn’t get the dish she ordered properly and still had to pay the full price. She specifically asked for the dish without salmon roe, but when the food arrived, there was no salmon at all. After she mentioned this to the staff, they brought her a new portion, but this time it included both the salmon and the salmon roe, even though she had clearly asked for no salmon roe.

At that point, I also tried to explain the situation to the waiter, but they simply replied that the kitchen doesn’t speak English. I pointed out that the words "salmon roe" are clearly written in their English menu, but the waiter just stared at me for a moment and replied “ok” and then walked away without offering any solution. In the end, my friend had to remove the roe herself and still paid the full price for the meal.

We’ve had dinner here 4 times now and the last two times haven’t been as good experiences, mainly food wise. The quality of the sushi has decreased. This last time the rice was a bit raw and had a weird texture, almost watery like. The soy sauce had been diluted with water which is quite common in some restaurants yes, but it had been watered down so much that it didn’t taste like anything. Felt like I was dipping the sushi in pure water. I had to put wasabi in the “soy sauce” to taste something bc the food was tasteless like water. Felt like I was dipping water in water. The nigiris salmon didn’t taste like salmon and had a weird texture also, I was a bit scared to eat it. It’s a shame bc this place used to be one of my favorites to visit in Tallinn bc of the good sushi, tasty cocktails and nice atmosphere. At least the cocktails are still really good and their menu even had some new additions to it, like the Sarti spritz which I loved! I remember the music being very loud but this time it was ok, ofc still a bit loud...
