We visited the restaurant while super hungry today in the evening and we had high hopes. First of all the restaurant was super busy so we asked a table for two and they just told us to “look for a table from the back of the terrace” Ok. So we seated ourselves. After sitting we waited for at least 20 minutes before we even got acknowledged. When we finally got our menus they were completely different from the ones online so beware of that. We ordered starters, drinks and the mains and it took another 20 minutes before we even got our drinks. We ordered the carpaccio, prawns, Asian burger and whole fish with new potatoes. Carpaccio was excellent 10/10 yum! But the prawns came super late and about 2 mins before the mains. Prawns tasted just bad, not at all fresh nor well prepared, more so under seasoned and over cooked and spongy. The mains were a let down as well. The “Asian” burger had a pre frozen patty and nothing Asian about it what so ever - otherwise the taste was nice 6/10. The fish we ordered was way underseasoned and over cooked but it had a nice little pesto sauce on the top. The pesto wasn’t much of a comfort since the fish it self lacked even the basic salt. The “new potatoes” were actually just one and a half potato and there was some arugula with way overly greasy mushrooms as well. To sum the experience up: Super underwhelming and not at all tasty with a sprinkle of ignorant customer service on top. Would...
Read moreI wish that I can give this restaurant 0 stars because it does not deserve even this minimum rating. The service inside, if I can even call it 'service' based on the lack of the word service, was an abomination! When we arrived at 2:00pm on a Saturday afternoon, the outside waitress directed us to the inside where they were allegedly taking table service orders. We then went inside as directed, and was greeted by dirty tables, in which the inside server directed our party of 5 to a table that was less dirty than the others. Then after sitting for 20 minutes and we asked her if she would take our orders, she rudely informed us as she rolled her eyes "the kitchen is NOT taking anymore orders today!!" As listed on this app, it closes at 11:00pm. She also told a group of people standing at the bar requesting from this same rude aforementioned eye rolling employee a second bottle of wine after their first one was finished, that "no drink orders are being taken", after they stood at the bar around the same time as we did, and then ushered all of us out of the restaurant as if we all were fly's trying to land on a plate of food. Unfortunately, the food could not be reviewed because we did not make it to that part of our unfortunate visit to this establishment!! My advice to anyone else even considering entering these unclean, arrogantly manned, and in our eye rolling waitresses case, 'womanned' establishment, DON'T!! I give...
Read moreThe interior of the place is quite authentic, featuring red brick and limestone walls, along with natural decorations like juniper trunks hanging from the ceiling. The staff was super attentive, respectful, and friendly. However, the variety of juices could be more extensive; for instance, grape or pomegranate options were absent at that moment. Nevertheless, some issues arose during my visit. The starter, a white-fish tartar, had an excess of onions, resulting in a taste reminiscent of common salt herring salad ,-) Unfortunately, the pike-perch fillet was almost tasteless, accompanied by various boiled species of cabbage—potentially suitable for those on a strict diet, with minimal calories, but not very satisfying for a hungry person,-) The dessert, bilberry meringue pieces with vanilla cream, noticeably lacked the presence of berries; they could have been included, even in freeze-dried form. On a positive note, the limoncello served as a nice and refreshing digestive, complemented by freshly squeezed...
