VAAT is a cool-vibed place in a great location in Tallinn – Telliskivi. Basically, this place has everything a beer lover and enthusiast may need, or well, also someone who's just looking for an evening well spent. The whereabouts of the place are ideal for an ambivert like me. You’ll be avoiding the excessive noise and crowds that you might find in the center of Telliskivi, yet find the perfect amount of “collective privacy” for a more chillout night of your own, nevertheless remaining close to many evening crossroads of the social kind.
𝐎𝐤, 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐬: ➤ An exciting and fresh selection of beers (also drinks for that one non-beer-lover in your group plus delicious alcohol-free alternatives) ➤ Super friendly and chill staff with great knowledge on the topic (ask about your favorite beer style, for example) ➤ Snacks (PS - the popcorn is free) ➤ Meals for both vegans and non-vegans (currently especially delicious hot South African pies, I suggest the mushroom one. It's like a soul food dinner hugged by a crunchy pastry) ➤ Different fun board games (“ÄSK” and other games like that are my favourite, cause they allow everyone to let loose and open up) ➤ Theme nights (quizzes, etc.) ➤ Brewery under the same roof (actually, if you are lucky, you can watch the head brewer at work – in other words, your new favorite beers being made right under your eyes)
So, if you're thinking about where to go in Tallinn and want to expand your knowledge about the world of beer whilst enjoying the best beer flavors, great company, games, and snacks, then this is the place to start heading to!

Read moreI travel the world and check out breweries frequently, and the coziness of the location, the friendliness of Vaat staff, and the crispness of the beer stands out as one of my favorite finds. As an added bonus, the girl behind the bar brought in her dog, Edha, who was incredibly sweet and so so so well behaved. Sitting on the couch while petting a dog with a delicious Finally IPA in hand and having a great conversation with the staff has me leaving with a happy heart. If you are in the area and looking for a microbrewery to visit, do yourself a favor and go here— you won’t be...
Read moreHere, you can get a multitude of beers that aren't sold elsewhere in Tallinn, and they're experts on the matter.
They also have an unnusual choice of natural wines, which are surprising and of great taste. It's a refreshing statement to do things differently, and boy does that work !
There's also a variety of the small but incredible pies (120g of ingredients inside, that feeds !) that freshly baked by local Cafe Cape Town.
Grab a pie and your pint to enjoy a cosy, friendly evening with a view on the brewery process itself...
