Veinirestoran Dominic — Restaurant in Tallinn

There were six of us, visited the restaurant a week ago. In a nutshell: the resto has a very good and nourishing kitchen; it has fantastic list of wines, from different origins with unique history. Again, top-notch kitchen, food and wines.

However, I was kind of disappointed by the service provided and attention to us as guests.

I would expect much closer contact with resto personnel and much attentive behaviour than we experienced. The waiter was not easily approachable, not even trying to make any eye-contact with our group, so we could order additional bottle of wine or water; or being able to explore anything about wines; he also wasn't very attentive to last second question; There was another waiter helping him, which, perhaps due to language barrier I presume didn't quite understand the meaning of "veini menüü", perhaps she expected "veini kaart". so, she didn't return back with anything.

And last, but not least, one of our group received different main course, we also presume it was due data loss between us; the waiter could have confirmed the order instead of just acknowledging that everything is alright.

To sum up, we weren't disappointed as a group and it didn't ruin our evening. however, Dominic needs to put more attention in terms of quality of service.

I rarely give five stars to restaurants I visit but in Dominics case I did not hesitate at all. Starting with the service it was perfect from start to finish. Friendly in a polite subdued way and very professional. All courses were served at exactly the right moment, and the waiter seemed to have a sixth sense for when to remove the dishes once we had eaten. This also applies to the serving of drinks and wine, glasses were refilled at precisely the right moment. I dare to say that only years of experience can forge this kind of excellence. The food was EXCEPTIONALLY good. I chose the duck, which does not always turn out as expected. I can only applaud the dish they served me, the best duck I have EVER eaten in my lifetime. The prices are not cheap but not outrageous either. I truly love this restaurant and may even travel the 4500 km again JUST to eat here again!!! Excellent restaurant 👌 The menu was appealing to us so we decided to try it, and we were not disappointed. It was a wonderful experience! The entrée (burrata) and the main dishes (crab risotto) were very tasty, with generous portions. The dessert, which seemed like an odd combination (goat cheese with white chocolate and a few other ingredients) was also to die for! And the service was top notch; our server was very friendly yet professional, quick and spoke excellent English. We understood it was a popular choice because we saw many clients coming in, even big groups, so that means the restaurant is well known and has a good reputation.
