Istanbul Grilli — Restaurant in Helsinki sub-region

I recently visited Istanbul Grill, and the experience was completely ruined by one of the male waiters, who I believe is the lead waiter and a Turkish speaker. As regular customers, we’ve always enjoyed our meals, but this time the kebab tasted terrible. It had a strong, unpleasant smell, almost like the meat was spoiled. Naturally, we brought it up to the waiter, but instead of listening to our concerns, he was incredibly disrespectful and dismissive.

When we explained that we’ve had kebabs here before and know what they should taste like, he arrogantly rejected our complaint and acted like we didn’t know what we were talking about. His attitude was unprofessional and rude, showing zero willingness to resolve the issue or offer any kind of apology. It’s shocking how someone in a lead position could treat customers this way.

The restaurant has potential, and without this particular waiter, the service could be much better. His behavior definitely ruined what could have been an enjoyable dining experience. I hope the management takes this seriously because no customer should be treated with...

November Visit:

Went here again, ordered grill mix for 2 person. Very good food but I miss brother Ahmet, who has been serving me for almost 1 year now. His service quality is really good and he always around the table whenever we need him. He is quick with the action and usually I can order before even reaching when I am hungry. He was sick last time but I hope to see him again. Also miss brother Sabri, I hope new staff manage to keep the service standard set by Ahmet and Sabri brother.

Best place to try Turkish cuisine in Helsinki. Order Grill mix for 2 people in advance. The table was reserved for us and food was served on time. Salad, Balkava and Coffee were served complimentary. Have been there many times and never been disappointed with the quality of the food. Must try if you are in Helsinki!

I had a very unpleasant experience with the service. I came in (as I have done 3 times before) around 2-3 o’clock and I was about to grab the menu to order the grilled food (which I always ordered).

The waiter abruptly told me that they don’t do grilled food any more only buffet. When inquired why he told me that the grill was broken. I looked on my left and I could clearly see that they were grilling food.

I got the buffet which is below-par in terms of freshness and when I finished, guess what? the other tables were served the grilled food from the menu. Even customers who came after us got the grilled food.

When inquired to the waiter why I didn’t get the grilled food which was clearly available he told me that the grill-person gets upset when he gets too many orders for grilled food….

Selective service at it’s best…… you lost me and 3 more people as customers. I will surely share this unpleasant experience to...
