This restaurant is without a doubt my favorite in all of Finland so far! It is run by a lovely couple that pay such good care of their food and customer service. I visit almost weekly and would go daily if it were possible ☺️ I always order the Tendon Teishoku, it comes with 3 large prawns and 3 veggie slices in a bed of rice with some delicious sauce (usually one broclini, a slice of zucchini, sweet potato and eggplant), it's accompanied by 3 slices of pickled cucumber, miso soup and some julienne cut cabbage with rocket and plum tomatoes. My partner has ordered a lot more dishes and he has loved every single one of them! But Salmon teriyaki is his favorite ☺️. If we are extra hungry we sometimes share some Agadashi Tofu which is also delicious! It comes with 3 large cubes of Agadashi covered in starch and fried and some sauce, the textures are lovely. It is a tiny restaurant which makes for a very homey atmosphere that I quite love. Would give more stars if I...
Read moreThis place is truly authentic when it comes to Japanese cuisine - the dishes are absolutely wonderful and full of flavor! The owners are incredibly kind and actually work there themselves, which gives the place a warm and personal touch. There’s a great variety of options to choose from, and every meal comes with a complimentary miso soup and a bowl of rice - just like in Japan!
The prices are very reasonable, the interior is charming and cozy, and the location is super convenient , you can get there directly on tram number 3. The food was fresh and incredibly tasty!
I wholeheartedly recommend this place - it’s absolutely worth visiting, and I’d even say it’s worth making a special trip for. Just keep in mind that the seating area is quite small, so in the evenings when it gets really busy, it’s better to go for take-out. But that doesn’t take away from how amazing this spot is a true gem for Japanese...

If you’re planning to dine here, remember—it’s run by a middle-aged couple, not a fine dining team. This is a true mom-and-pop restaurant, and that’s exactly the charm.
Some reviews seem to expect a different kind of experience, but to me, it feels like stepping into someone’s home kitchen: there’s hot tea, water ready on the table, clean floors, homey decorations. Everything is thoughtful, just like how a family would welcome you.
I especially love coming here on cold days. The steam in the room—something that might feel “unprofessional” in a bigger restaurant, but it makes perfect sense here. It’s like being in a cozy kitchen in an Asian household, warm and full of care.
Food is amazing, I’ve tried every option on the menu 😊
On some busy days the waiting time is longer than usual, and space gets crowded, if that’s not a problem for you, you will enjoy every bit of this small...
