Lazy Fox — Restaurant in Helsinki sub-region

5/5 stars to the girl working today. She was taking care of the whole front of house; seating people in, taking orders, making beverages, bringing beverages, bringing food, taking payments, cleaning tables. She even saved a bird that flew inside the restaurant. She did all of this ALONE. There were 2 bigger table groups and approximately 12 smaller tables. She still managed to stay calm and provide amazing service. Amazing job from her.

With the combination 1 worker in the kitchen and 1 on the floor and a full house you can imagine the service taking longer time. Indeed we waited +40minutes for our orders which is a bit unfortunate for a breakfast place. I hope the management of this restaurant will schedule more people on shifts to provide better service for all guests and less stressful time for their workers. Imagine if they need to go to bathroom🥲

We were hoping this would match the social media vibe because there are not too many brunch and breakfast places of this kind in Helsinki. Quite crowded, a Saturday morning, looked promising, we got a spot outside, and yet, somehow both of our dishes ended up being both overcooked/burned and in other ways undercooked/raw. My husband had the full English and I had a half Benny. The waitstaff were friendly but a bit overwhelmed, and the food was just deeply disappointing—we weren’t expecting Michelin star quality or anything, but a satisfying, decent brunch. Not greasy, burnt, cold in the middle/raw “breakfast.” I couldn’t finish half of my half Benny (burnt/raw) and had to get a sandwich from a café half an hour later. Coffee was okay, fresh juice was alright. Hopefully it was just an off day or something because I really want to like this place and be able to reliably visit without the literal bad taste...

We expected more from these meals than we received.

Had Salmon benny, Hash benny + double New York pancaces. Quality of these meals were more like casual gas station food; dry, cheap tasting ingredients, way too over cooked (especially eggs), expect the bacon was served soft and not crispy.

Dishes haven't been washed well, and had the smell of rotten food (they probably haven't washed the washing machine properly/ often enough). You can imagine drinking water from a cup where you can smell this rotten flavor, and it does not increase your appetite.

It was busy when we arrived, and you can sense how tired the staff were. They were polite and take care of our orders fast, but due the tiredness there wasn't so much the "joyful spirit".

Branding of the place have been done well, but they can't match the expectations that they are creating. Possibly wouldn't pay again these prices for...
