Ravintola Teerenpeli — Restaurant in Helsinki sub-region

We stopped by this place after work. It turned out to be a small oasis, that sort of place where you can relax without feeling like you should have dressed up.

Now, the Irish Coffee: I don’t say this lightly: it was the best I’ve had in Finland. Perfectly balanced, warm enough to restore faith in humanity after a long day, and strong enough to make the next day’s schedule seem almost free.

The snacks menu deserves applause: tasty, varied, and not an afterthought. Even my vegan friend (who usually has to approach menus like archaeological digs) found something nice to eat.

And the service? Wonderful! The ladies behind the bar were cheerful, patient, and full of good suggestions, especially when it came to mocktails. It’s always nice when staff make you feel like they actually want you to enjoy yourself.

Horrible experience at Teerenpeli on a Sunday evening. We went with a few friends and had a few drinks and food from the bar. Post which we just started doing some light dance and laughes and fun.

Following that, the bartenders refused to serve us anymore drinks claiming we were drunk and shouldn't drink more since the atmosphere of the bar will be disturbed. The full was almost empty throughout the evening. Moreover, the bartender throughout the evening was grummpy and rude. He was just not interested in serving our group or helping to select a drink from the wide variety of teerenpeli.

Honestly, a very sad evening and it ruined my friends Birthday. So, thank you Teerenpeli for accomplishing that.

Nice local brewery bar. Main brewery is located in Lahti 100 kliks north of Helsinki. This bar has micro brewery in the premises and serve seasonal brews on the tab. You can get also small snakcs and larger toasts here with filling of your choise. Decor is a bit boring here, nothing to write home about.
