The Other One Thai Kitchen — Restaurant in Helsinki sub-region

My wife and I have enjoyed our trip from Canada to Finland so we decided to have a nice final dinner out. Despite many choices we agreed upon Thai and used Google to find options near Hotel Arthur. The reviews looked good so we decided to give them a try. Wow, such good food!

First, we enjoyed the spring rolls. My wife thought they were good, but not as good as back home. I thought they were different, but very good. Well cooked, very crispy with a nice center.

Next, I tried the Tom Yum lemongrass soup with prawns. Wow! So tasty and spicy 🔥🔥, just perfect for me but too spicy for my wife.

Finally, we enjoyed a nice bottle of wine with the Pad Thai Crispy Chicken. Sooo good! Unfortunately, the only complaint was that the dish was warm, not hot. I think this was my fault for taking too long to finish my soup because I was taking too much and they did not want to interrupt. If only I could offer a 4.5!

Please note that when this dish arrived my wife and I quickly shared the serving so this photo showed less than half of the food served (oops). The original dish looked great, but you will need to take me word for that.

About €14 for this super small dish with very limited amount of meat properly less than 100 g of pork, a bit of salads cut carelessly. The price to make this dish is properly one euro. therefore, the quality is of a 1€ dish. This place ruins Thai food. The chef must have no self-esteem. If anybody say that this place has nice food, they properly stay in Finland the whole life, au assembly just boring Nordic people with a poor taste. When the waitress brought the dish to the table, I was so shocked. And a dish taste like a white exchange student trying to make Asian food for the first time. to be fair, I tried both lunch and dinner menu . nothing was good. Any Thai restaurant in Helsinki could be better than this place 1000 times. I wasted about €70 for two times...

I went to this Thai restaurant with my family for a quick lunch. Normally I don't expect so much authentic flavour from any Thai restaurants in EU. We ordered mushroom-tofu spicy salad and fried fish with some spicy sauce. Any ordered foods come with salads and fruits as a package of buffet :) I was very surprised that the foods were served at the table very fast and it was very tasty and bringing the light to my mind!!! I can put this restaurant in the top of my favourite Thai restaurant in Helsinki. Plus point, the staff at the counter is very friendly. Nothing I can ask for more...great service & super...
