I was shown my bf's favorite restaurant. I never had sushi before and have always thought it weird to eat raw meat, but I guess fish can be sn exception to the unclean until cooked rule. I immediately eyed tuna topped- and breaded shrimp topped sushi, and soon saw that this buffet was not limited to sushi, but also included many Chinese-American fried foods, American style junk foods, salads, veggies, and a candy station. It was largely in Finnish, so I mistook the ginger for sauerkraut and overloaded my plate with that. I was given a valuable etiquette lesson soon after, but it was an overall delicious and rewarding experience. I will very much enjoy returning in the summer. Two plates came out to €27.10, a little more than I am used to at buffets, but that likely is to cover the cost of cleaning dishes and silverware, items I do not often see in Canada. Read moreThis restaurant mainly serves Japanese, Chinese and comfort food as a all you can eat buffet meal. It was very busy today. M - F I think it's 13.90 EU for lunch. My cheapest and best meal in Finland! Lots of locals here as well. Definitely Asian chefs here.
The sushi is amazing barring the cuttlefish. Reminds me of Sushi shops in Auckland run by Koreans that are super yum. There is also average fried rice, noodles, curry chicken, meatballs, sausages and chips.
Fresh fruits, ice cream and free water, coffee, cordials.
There is also plain rice and miso soup.
If you are hungry and have a voracious Finnish bearlike appetite in Porvoo, then like the Chinese I am wanting to save on food..... There is no better place to go in Porvoo.
This is the place with the best value for money I have...

The place itself looked completely run-down, and the atmosphere was anything but inviting. The miso soup looked so unappetizing that I didn’t even dare to try it. Honestly, I wouldn’t eat here again even if it was offered for free, let alone for €10.
I truly don’t understand how anyone can eat here. What you get is far from real sushi and closer to a potential case of food poisoning. It was a deeply disappointing experience that I wouldn’t...
