Bull Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Rovaniemi sub-region

Stopped here our first night in Rovaniemi straight from the airport. It was late and we still had to drive an hour to our accommodations. Grateful they were open late with a casual but filling menu.

FOOD While simple, the burgers and fries were so amazing! You order at the bar. We got a cheeseburger, the other pork burger, and the loaded fries. And a round of long drinks. Ate plates 100% clean. Please be patient as the food can take a while.

Be sure to seat yourself. It took a while to figure out as we didn't see any signs and couldn't get the attention of the bar staff (who were so friendly and busy). That's the only reason for a 4/5. We had to circle through the 2 bar side entrances to find a table. We didn't want to skip anyone, but there were multiple groups confused if...

Based on others' pictures and reviews, i think i came in with higher expectations. First let me say that the hot wing sauce was some of the best I've tasted in a long time! The prices were reasonable for the area as well. If you're a wing fan, definitely go. The burgers looked great from other people but we didn't try them.

The fries were ok, but seemed to be mixed with fresh and old (some where hot and fresh and others were cold and stale).

The servers were nice but unfortunately the whole service was very very slow. They apologized at the end and said something was going on with the kitchen.

My biggest disappointment was the atmosphere. It was a bit dirtier/run down/disorganized than i expected, especially for it's location and connection to a hotel. I think a little modernization could go a long way as, in general, it is in a great location with pretty good...

This bar surprised us! We did read great reviews beforehand, so we knew the food would be good. But this was really a lovely and surprisingly lovely spot to eat. The service and employees were friendly, everything was clean, the food was absolutely killer. I ate some parmesan garlic truffle mayonaise fries, with a plain burger (which isn't on the menu, but there were absolutely no problems adding or in this case, withdrawing ingredients). And boy-oh-boy, those fries were epic and the burger mouthwatering delicious. Would definitely recommend. You can keep a tap open the whole night or pay immediately, we paid afterwards (wanted to stay longer, but the northern lights were supposed to be visible that night and we had not seen them yet!
