Cafe & Bar 21 — Restaurant in Rovaniemi sub-region

This cafe is a gem hidden in Rovaniemi, and I'm surprised it’s not more well-known. The food here is absolutely amazing. Everything is crafted with such care, and it shows. I heard that their baker is a local expert, and honestly, anyone passing by is missing out

Their desserts are, hands down, some of the best I’ve ever had. They even make their own ice cream! I could have sworn they order it from an Italian gelato company, but no, it's made in house, of course. The medium sized cup was easily enough for two people.

If you’re there for lunch, I recommend the waffles. They’re perfectly cooked, warm and crispy, and they don’t hold back on the toppings. The salmon, for instance, was fresh and not cheap tasting, something you might expect from a higher end restaurant, and you definitely get your money’s worth. The plate was so generous I could barely finish it either time I came by!

The atmosphere is relaxing and vibrant, you can get some work done undisturbed while waiting for your meal, the coffee is included...

Cozy popular café, I had to go there every day I spent in Rovaniemi. The feels nice even if it’s for more people. Every corner of it is creative in it’s own way. I loved the instagram followers counter, very fun thing to watch and great idea.

I personally prefer more acidity in coffee but even if it wasn’t specialty coffee the batch brew was still pretty good. What we loved were the desserts. I had carrot cake and later tried chocolate cake. It had everything, just perfect structure, sweer just enough, pretty large pieces for a good price and by easthetics I would say 10/10.

We had also brunch, the salmon waffle was very good, a lot of meat - I was surprised by the amount :) With other ingrediets it was nice taste blend. For sweet waffle I’ve chosen berry dream, amount of whipped cream matched the portion so you could have it with every bitw of the waffle. I really really loved the berry sorbet on top, so...

A small cozy cafe that you need to reserve for a table in advance if you want to skip the long queue. Their best-sellers are those savory waffles. We tried their Skagen and Crispy Chicken items, and no wonder why this place is so popular! I actually prefer the chicken to the skagen because the latter is a bit sour for my taste, while the fried chicken is very delicious - crunchy and not soggy even though them chicken were covered in sauce, and the sauce itself was fusioned with Asian flavours. The portion was huge, so I think it's value for money. An interesting thing I noticed is this Cafe & Bar 21 seems to be co-owned with its neighboring restaurant - Yuca (a Mexican restaurant), so you can cross-order from both places.
