Chez Pen — Restaurant in Annecy

So... we walked in with our kid and our friends after arriving to Annecy. It was just before the New Year. As a matter of fact, the place was about to close for the holidays and we walked in into a bit of a party with the locals. They quickly ushered us into the outside dining area where they offered us menus and drinks. These folks went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, taken care of, fed and refreshed. Couldn't ask for a nicer host. On the way out we noticed the bar "decor" :) and realized we were not their usual clientele. They made us so comfortable and happy we realized we may have put the patrons and staff in a more uncomfortable situation for them. They handled it with class, great hospitality and we love them for it. We hope to be back on our next visit....

Our hotel could not recommend Chez Pen because they did not know it. Well, they should. Welcoming and friendly (a bit loud, but we are a bit old!). I had a great time! The charcuterie board was amazing, with a fantastic mix of cheese, meat, and delicious olives. They also have a good selection of wine.
