We were hungry, so its on me that we did not check reviews first and just picked a place that seems ok and popular. I did not expect its going to be such a waste of dinner time and money. Please go to any place a little bit more down the street as it must be better and each dish is a couple euros less.
We ordered child menu french fries +salmon for our toddler, tartiflettes and entrecote cafe de paris.
1st of all to tackle french fries: they are not like the ones on the photos. They were all systematically burnt in all dishes, so our baby did not want to eat them, and just tried to choose those more normal to eat something. We also did not eat ours. The salmon was also super dried like paper, so again the baby did not eat it and its no wonder. I did eat itbecause I was still hungry but seriously, don't overcook or burn food in a restaurant, especially if you charge 25+ euro per dish
Time for the entrecote: If the client is supposed to cook it himself then Warn him beforehand 2.make sure his burner has enough fuel 3.make sure his temperature is how it should be The fire was gone twice, and the meat was terribly chewy because of that. And also because you are supposed to slice the meat in a thin even slices, not thick random cuts, some to thick to cook properly on the plate. I recommended this dish to my wife cause I know its what she would like, but now I have to take her to have a proper done dish in french restaurant near to where I live because she thinks its horrible (the sauce did taste like it should though).
The burnt fries, the random meat slices, the dried salmon: this looks like the result of someone wanting to make the dish in a super hurry, sacrificing the quality, but in a catastrophic way. Seriously, even a low level place can do the french fries most of the time
The tartiflettes were good though, and the drinks were ok, but they were bottled so I guess its not easy to mess...
Read moreHorrible experience here. Ordered a flammkuchen that came out as pure cheese grilled on a flatbread. Flammkuchen is meant to be light with cream and cheese and lardons, you could see the fat dripping out of this. I didn't make a fuss but they noticed I wasn't eating it so asked if I didn't like it upon which I mentioned this wasn't what I expected but again didn't make a fuss. The waiter then called what I assume to be his boss who instead of trying to resolve spoke to me incredibly rudely. I said multiple times I'm sorry if this was my misunderstanding and showed them pictures of what flammkuchen usually looks like but she proceeded to be incredibly rude. She said this isnt flammkuchen this is french pizza, so why is it called flammkuchen on the menu? We had to pay a full bill and left swiftly due to the unpleasant atmosphere. I again just want to say i didn't call a waiter to make a complaint, I didn't raise my voice or anything. They completely just made a scene and rather than say hey sorry this isn't what you thought, let's see what we can do they just were rude. Truly bad customer service have never experienced...
Read moreWe had made reservations for this restaurant for 2 nights. Our group was about 40 people as it was for a school trip. On the first night the food was tragic. The "Ceasar's salad" was barely edible with the lettuce completely uncut and half and egg on top that stank and tasted as if it was rotten. The chicken with potatoes was completely tasteless but at least safe for consuming. The apple pie attempt they served us wasn't totally bad but still disappointing. On the second night things had improved as the entire group had complained about the quality of the food. The salad was much better and actually pleasant to eat. The lasagna excellent, I was extremely surprised to say the least and the chocolate ice cream was pretty solid. However both nights, even though service was quick the staff was rude. They were basically throwing the plates on the table. The bathroom was extremely dirty and had an unpleasant smell that could fill the dinning area. Even though the location is truly beautiful and convenient I do not recommend eating there. It is not worth...
