We recently had the pleasure of dining at the Caveau D'Eguisheim and, without a doubt, it was one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had. Nestled in a stunning medieval building right in the heart of Eguisheim's main town square, this gem of a restaurant offered a unique and enchanting atmosphere that felt both personal and familiar.

As soon as we entered, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff, who made sure we felt right at home throughout our entire visit. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, and it was incredible to dine in a place with such rich history.

The menu had a great variety of dishes, but what stole the show was the true burning crème brûlée. It was set aflame after arriving at our table, creating a mesmerizing and memorable experience. The taste was just as spectacular - the perfect balance of creamy sweetness and a slightly burnt, caramelized sugar crust.

Our evening at the Caveau D'Eguisheim was nothing short of magical. The combination of the historic setting, attentive service, and exquisite cuisine made it an unforgettable experience. I can't wait to return and would highly recommend this enchanting spot to anyone...

Nice restaurant in the centre of Eguisheim. The food was overall good, but the service has to be improved. We arrived at 6.45, after booking a table, and for 3 gratinés of pomme de terre we waited for 1.30h. Must be said that the restaurant was crowded, however the waiting time was unacceptable; we were the first to enter in the restaurant. At the moment of paying, we pointed out to the lady that the only issue we had was the long waiting time, and instead of saying a simple sorry, she just said in a very rude way that it's because of the many people present at the restaurant. Again, she didn't even apologize. Some improvements has to be done to the service/cuisine. All the people around us were also waiting for a long time. If you are understaffed, just don't accept so many people. That's a shame because the food was good and the restaurant itself is very cute. Will...

The restaurant looks fantastic at first glance — beautiful decor, great atmosphere, and it gives the impression of being quite upmarket. Unfortunately, the quality of the food didn’t live up to the setting.

My brother and I both had the cordon bleu, which was extremely dry — it honestly tasted like it had been made days before and just reheated. My sister ordered a Caesar salad with chicken, or at least that’s what it said on the menu. It was so dry and unrecognizable that we couldn’t even tell if it was chicken or fish. She actually struggled to swallow it at one point. My wife’s salad was decent, nothing special but at least fresh.

The best part of the meal was the local Pinot Noir rosé — light, refreshing, and well chilled. It was the only highlight in an otherwise disappointing dining experience. Sadly, we won’t...

I don’t like to write bad reviews but in this case I have to. My husband, my son and I came to the restaurant and first had to wait for half an hour before the waiter took our order. Then 15 more minutes before drinks arrived. Waiting so long was not nice. We were hungry and the room smelled of sauerkraut. The food: my husband’s dish was good, he really enjoyed it. I took the kidneys and they were half cooked and swam in the blood juice, spetzli were hard and not fresh. My son who usually wolfs his french fries and nuggets didn’t like here at all. He had few bites, the food was plain without any salt. So he had an ice cream which was included in the menu for kids - that’s all. And the price was 14.50 which is too high for France.

The food was ok, tasted good and the portion was big enough. The interior of the restaurant has a very good vibe. However, I didn’t like the way how the Young waitress just kept talking to me in French while it was obvious that my only French knowledge is “Bonjour”, “Bonne soirée” and “Merci”. I don’t understand why nobody speaks or wants to talk in English with foreign tourists in France. Foreign tourists are bringing a lot of money to France, English is a must nowadays. French is a top10 language in the world but not a world language, only if “world” means France, Quebec state and African ex-colonies. And I guess English is the first language that schools are teaching in France.
