Le Petit Roi de la Lune — Restaurant in Dijon

We had lunch here and were immediately impressed by the warm atmosphere and the great energy of the staff. The food was, of course, excellent. I had the fried Brie, and my fiancé had the risotto — both dishes were delicious and beautifully presented. The service was fast, friendly, and genuine.

Later that evening, when deciding where to have our final dinner in Dijon, we realized that coming back to the same place would be the perfect way to end our trip — and it truly was. For dinner, we had the escargot, spring rolls and the Iberico pork, paired with both white and red wine from Burgundy. Everything was cooked to perfection.

We ended the meal with a rich chocolate fondant and a crème brûlée — and both fully met our expectations.

My husband and I wanted to experience Dijon cuisine outside the very busy «  place des ducs de Bourgogne » where service is rushed and unfriendly. We came across this very nice and quiet street and saw this restaurant where people seem to truly enjoy their food. One lady who was dining alone talked to us and highly recommended the place so we decided to try it out! It was outstanding. Service was courteous, prompt and prices reasonable. Food was great. The restaurant is clean and nice and the waiters are very polite and fast. But sadly the food doesn’t live up to this standard. We received cold spring rolls (half frozen) and the mains were dry and unseasoned. I ordered a steak which didn’t have any salt or pepper added to it and my wife’s chicken was so dry you could barely cut it. It was also extremely loud, our ears were ringing when we left the restaurant. I wouldn’t recommend this place.
