Le Dauphin — Restaurant in Grasse

Terrible service and poorly cooked meat. They have no idea how to cook steak - it’s either raw or over cooked as a shoe. The owner/server is rude and disrespectful. He refused to cancel the terribly cooked entrecôte steak and said we have to pay for it anyway. Very unprofessional. He served bread with dirty hands. Stay away from this place!

Edit: thank you for noting other things we didn’t like that I forgot to mention. The escalope was over cooked as well - we couldn’t finish it and even changed our mind to take it with us. The only positive thing was the fish however similar price restaurants are offering it completely peeled and easy to eat rather then “peel it yourself experience”. The salad were mediocre and the fries were not salted at all - overall NOT TASTY. Very disappointing and very misleading rating of this place. Good food ruined by horrible service. Waiter was setting a table as if we have insulted him somehow. Forgot our order and I had to remind him. Brought to my wife her dish without utensils - I have asked two different waiters and still did not get a fork! Had to ask a manager / owner and got a fork in seconds. Very loud and staff was dropping glasses on the floor all the time. Toilet is dirty, I wonder if kitchen is as well? Finally, to add injury to the insult - I have asked for a receipt, the waiter has acknowledged, and then ….. simply dressed up and went home! I had to ask again. This place is not baby friendly. Staff are the least accommodating and least friendly we’ve encountered in the area. If you have a young family and looking for somewhere to eat, avoid at all costs. The one waitress was extremely rude when we asked for a table that could accommodate our stroller. She changed her story by first saying she would not sit us at a 4 person table because there needs to be 4 of us to that they had a reservation. They had multiple groups of 2 seated at their 4 person tables. They offered us a table that seats two and wedging ourselves and our baby against another table.
