"Interesting" is feedback that chefs abhor. We don't know what to make of it. It's like saying someone you meet is complex. They might be multi faceted fascinating, or a scintilla short of clinical insanity. But it's true that they try to be interesting here. There's unusual flavours, as well as the hits. I try tiramasu and citron tart. The tiramasu is a bland, very sweet coffee waft. The citron tart has a bit more promise, but the necessary lemon curd notes are missing, and the tart shell crumb, both infrequent and impotent. Overall both are very sweet and neither creamy nor refreshing. There's potential here, and I'll return to try the sorbets, which look alright. We struggled to get service outside, the waiter ignored us, and the woman who appeared to be in charge was just plain rude when we went in and asked for a menu only to be spoken to rudely. She ten came out and asked us aggreszively if the dirty dishes which the waiter hadn't cleared were ours. She appeared to manage the place badly. Read moreDuring our stay in Cassis it is certainly the place we bounced back the most! The reason is two-fold : ice-cream and the location. The portions are generous whether you order ice creams or crepes. We had crepes once and it flooded in chocolat! The personnel on the terrace is efficient and courteous enough.
