THE best babkas in Paris in my opinion (my favourite ones are the chocolate hazelnut ones)! Even if there is a queue, it's really worth the wait and it usually moves quickly. The only reason for the 1 star reduction is the fact that I have noticed the quality of their babkas going down a bit (on multiple occasions lately) in comparison to when they just opened. They're filled a bit less and taste a bit drier. This might be a case of the bakery becoming a victim of its own success, needing to downgrade the quality to be able to produce in masses. They still are worth the visit if you're in Paris though 😊

The pastries are amazing but the service
.Omg. The lady talks to her friend over the phone and saying to everyone that the stand “is not open yet and will be open in 15 mins”. 15 mins pass and she says the exact same thing, being arrogant and around (“I said 15 mins”), probably getting annoyed for people disrupting her while she’s taking to her friend. Unbelievable. Then she left, who knows where to. Such a shame that an amazing place gets such an awful awful service

The best pastry I have ever eaten! I got the canelle which was full of sweet cinnamon flavour. Moist, rich and served to us warm. My mum had the chocolat noisette which was lined with chocolate and hazelnuts, really delicious and the portion sizes are very generous. The staff were really friendly and accommodating for our limited French. Will definitely be back to this wonderful boulangerie!

This boulangerie is absolutely amazing. When recently travelling to Paris with a friend of mine, we found this place. We adore everything culinary in experiences - and sent from heaven was this little pop-up in the Galeries Lafayette Gourmet - Zana babka. I just now realized it was a pop-up contemporarily hangin out in the the Lafayette, when recommending it to a friend visiting the city soon, but now I have the right address to share :) When standing in line, drooling at the sight of all the baked goods, we finally decided on trying the Babka chocolate noisette (chocolate hazelnut) and the pistachio. It blew us away (!!) and left our tastebuds tingeling and already begging for just another bite! This resulted in (of course) another visit, as the za'atar hallah also had left a mark in our rather food-obsessed minds, since first visiting the bakery. The soft bread with the beautiful spices instantly became a favourite as well! The personnel were all so very kind and friendly, so nothing but kind words to share about this incredible bakery. Thank you very much for the remarkable experience(s), you are definitely being recommended big time here in Denmark. Unfortunately I can't upload any photos, but just know it was amazing, if you're not already convinced from my...

To state that the babka sold at Babka Zana is delicious is an understatement. Instead, Babka Zana sold me a memory. Their babka transported me back to my grandmother's kitchen in Connecticut and the unmistakable and intoxicating aroma of a cinnamon babka straight from the oven. Without exaggeration, the first taste warmed my heart and made my taste buds dance with joy. I recalling my grandfather sitting next to me, smiling, and jokingly commenting that the reason he married my grandmother was because of her babka.

Thank you Babka Zana. Thank you for the trip down memory lane and for the sensory memory of my dearly departed grandmother. Thank you for preparing a babka that is hands down the best babka I have tasted in...

Sorry, I wanted to like and support you, but it doesn't live up to what I first experienced. When this place first opened, despite what immediately felt overpriced to me (even though I live in Paris and used to pricing here) I took a chance and tried several varieties, one after the next were impressive I returned a few more times. Then I tried one of the featured ones of the month entirely disappointing texture and flavor. After almost a year, I passed again and decided to give it another chance, still felt it was expensive (especially at almost 6 euros for the monthly featured), and bought both a classic one and the monthly one, and both were mediocre, and lacked the textural complexity of what I first tried in...
