Here is an interesting concept: your savory dishes are crafted and dressed like desserts. This restaurant is located in calm side street, close to the lively and busy Pigalle (plenty of bar options after dinner). The young service staff was attentive and reactive to our demands. They did take care of their customers as they set some portable heaters (I can't imagine how cold it could be without heaters). On top of an interesting menu, there is a good selection of white and red wines -make sure to ask for recommendation if you are undecided. Now comes what one comes for: the dishes that sound and look like dessert. Prior to the main event we tried the onion soup dressed as a cappuccino. The soup was oniony but a bit too creamy and the consistency not thick enough. A cheesy taste was also missing. The burger (and its three fries shaped like churros) was tasty: finally a burger with a really taste of meat! We would have like more fries, as only three (however big) are hard to share -we didn't find the dipping to be particularly good. The floating island (ile flottante) was a combination of packed macaroni floating in the middle of a "mushroomy" sauce: make sure to sauce your macaroni bite or you'll get a very salty surprise. The fish (shaped as a pancake) was flaky and tasty. While the main dishes were good, the desserts were a bit disappointing. The sole real dessert (the chocolate fondant) was delicious -the pineapple (shaped as fried breaded fish sticks coming with a strawberry grout) and the "pain perdu" were so-so and overpriced for the quantity in the plate. Overall this place is worth a visit, and as suggested by its name, focus only on the...

The staff was very kind, the venue was nothing special (but I sat outside) and the food looked super good. Unfortunately the first impression was misleading, I am really disappointed by the taste: The Chou looked nice, but the components were not flavoured and composed well: the passion fruit was so sour it felt like etching your mouth and tongue, the gambas were flavourless, the wasabi not noticeable, the dish overall to sweet and both salt and pepper were lacking. The pétit dejournee consisted of a „Cappuccino“ (sauce/soup: super fatty, no salt, dead cooked carrots in there with no texture left, also some meat without any special taste) and a „pain au chocolate“ (the meat was good and soft, but the mushroom cream was not notable, the dough around it was very sweet and not baked thoroughly, also salt lacking there again). At last the famous sponge cake: the „foam“ was very tasty, the „dish soap“ was balanced, the „sponge“ (pistachio biscuit) also not well baked through, a bit dry and again not very tasty. I am really sorry for having to write such a bad review, I had been hoping for at least one excellent dish. I have seen some of the critique already in other comments, so I really hope you take our reviews seriously and change something. Right now I cannot recommend...
