RUN !
Overrated and very very mistreating service. They told me I could bring a dog in the terrace, so I did and when I arrived with the dog they told me that it was not true and that I shouldn’t have asked to a “barman” but to a very impolite and misbehaving lady at the bar. Well, how could I have known ? I tried to explain my problem to this famous woman at the bar but she just yelled at me that i was just interrupting her while she was working and that in any case I shouldn’t have asked to a barman but to her (who was dressed like all the other people of the bar - LOL). Then she rolled her eyes and turned her back while I was talking to her. Never met a more disgusting place and behavior. If only they told me in a kind way “we made a mistake sorry”, everything would have been ok. Errors are human but being treated in this way when I just followed their instructions…disgusting!
Moreover there is a long queue to reach the terrace (more than 1h), the lower terrace closes at 10 and there is some nepotism since I tried to reach the lower terrace to smoke since I saw some clients doing so but I was told that I couldn’t (while other clients, friends of the guards, yes - what a joke!).
Place seriously overrated and strongly not...
Read moreThe bar belonging to the Moulin Rouge seemed like the logical choice before attending the actual show. Normally, I’m skeptical in such cases, but the 4.2-star rating convinced me to give it a try.
The experience, however, was disappointing. The bar itself is, at best, average. You have to order at the counter, wait, and pick up both your drinks and food yourself. At least the staff was friendly.
Our Martini Espresso tasted nice, but it had nothing to do with a real Espresso Martini (it was made with rum). My Italicus Spritz was fine, but completely flat, as no fresh sparkling water or Prosecco was used or at least the bubbles were missing!
The falafel were acceptable, but the mayonnaise-based dip presented as tzatziki was questionable. The tomato carpaccio was downright disgraceful: While the stracciatella, almonds, and basil were of good quality, the tomatoes were some of the worst I’ve had in a long time. The peaches were tasteless, and the oil was of poor quality as well.
I don’t mind paying for a name or a prime location – but this experience was...
Read moreThe simple reason why this place deserves a 2 stars is because of the bald blue eyed bouncer on top of the stairs of the main entrance. An angry little man that was very rude to all of us while he made us wait until a matching number of people left the place so we could come in. Being 6 of us that made very difficult as you can imagine, when as a doorman, you have a man that proposed with a menacing grin that we either enter only 2 of us or get out of his face (literally translated from French) neither locals or tourists should endure such a bad welcome at a place where we are supposed to have fun. Clearly this man doesn’t like his job and is so unhappy and mad about that customer are the first affected. I hope management takes immediate action to rectify this bad experience for such a nice place. I believe that a place like this is enjoyable only if you are...
