Bistrot Chez Martine — Restaurant in Paris

The food was great, we liked the wine list.The waiters were friendly but be careful ….

We were derply disappointed when we arrived at home and checked the invoice. The bill for wine and food did not match the prices on menu in resto and on website.

The invoice is divided in two parts - according to the tax rate 10% for food and 20% for alcohol and it does not specify each order . The food we ordered was 10 euro pour terrine du moment and poireaux 9 Euro, the mains 2 x 21 Euro for onglets with French fries - all together 61 Euro on the bill they charged us 91 Euro for food. . We had a bottle of cote de Rhône Perrine et fils for 40 Euros and two small glasses of wines which vodts 6,5 Euro each. So, the bill that should cost us 114 Euro max we were charged 144.00 Euro.

Bistrot chez Martine has been a lovely friday night destination. Not only the food is tasty but the vibes are just what I need to start my weekends.

I recommend for starters the steak tartare (yes share it as a starter!) and the mushrooms tartelette.

My favourite main dish is the blanquette de veau (one of the best I ever had), it is tasty and authentic. I also love the pepper steak with fries, you can’t go wrong here. If you’re looking to have a better beef option, we usually order the cote de boeuf to share. It is delicious but pricey.

Lovely restaurant with a warm ambience located on a side street near Trocadero (and so close to our hotel!) we were so fortunate it was recommended by our concierge! We received a sincere welcome from our server, Thibaut, and he gave us wonderful attention through the night. The food was delicious.
