Bocamexa — Restaurant in Paris

Hello, normally I never do this, I never leave bad reviews, I simply do not waste time on it :)

However, a certain situation that happened around 20-30 minutes ago really triggered me. First of all, I want to say I like the cuisine very much! :) I ALWAYS take a bowl with the soy ceviche and it never disappoints. (I do not eat meat, apart from seafood). Today I went to Bocamexa with a friend, to grab lunch. The place was packed and quite hectic, as one could predict at this hour. My friend ordered bowl with chicken, I ordered the same thing as always - bowl with soy ceviche. I was asked twice what sauce I wanted in the matter of 1 minute, but it truly wasn’t a problem, I mean, I’m a human, I forget things and there was a lot of noise, a lot of people, so I totally get it! Plus, I worked in service, I know how it is. So naturally I repeated and continued talking to my friend :). After paying, we took our things and went back to the office. Upon arrival I noticed that my bowl had chicken in it, instead of soja. If I did eat meat it really wouldn’t be a problem, especially that the rain was (and still is) literally pouring, so I wouldn’t even bother to go back just to change the ingredient. Also, I do not like to bother others about such an unimportant thing. Unfortunately, as it’s something I do not eat, I decided to walk back in the rain (I was completely soaked upon arrival). I politely explained the situation to the lady at the counter, she was very nice about it and said they will prepare what I wanted in the first place. I waited patiently, but I noticed that whenever she explained the situation to the person that prepared my order, he (the person) said something back to her, and although I couldn’t hear what was said, I could see he is not happy with the situation. After preparing my bowl, he gave it to me personally and (unfortunately) he started arguing (in front of other customers) that I “ordered chicken but whatever”. Even after I explained several times, that I do not eat meat he continued talking to me in a very rude and unprofessional way.

See, in another situation I could even believe that it’s me who mixed up things, however the fact that I was given something I haven’t been eating for 2 years wouldn’t add up. Similar to as if someone was allergic to peanuts. They wouldn’t order peanuts, would they?

I really have no problem with the fact that my order was messed up. I don’t even have a problem with the fact that I needed to go back in the pouring rain. These things happen, let’s laugh about it :)

However, I really do not appreciate when someone is rude towards other people and what’s even more, tries to gaslight them hah. At the same time I would like to thank the lady at the counter for being nice about it :)

I understand everyone can have a bad day, that’s life, but I truly hope the approach to such matters will be handled with respect towards the client in the future.

Je suis ravi de partager l'incroyable expérience que j'ai eue chez Bocamexa Réaumur. Dès que j'ai franchi la porte, j'ai été accueilli par une atmosphère chaleureuse et conviviale qui m'a immédiatement mis à l'aise. L'attention portée aux détails dans le décor m'a vraiment impressionné, créant une ambiance mexicaine authentique et accueillante.

Ce qui a vraiment fait la différence, c'est la serviabilité exceptionnelle des employés. Leur niveau de professionnalisme et de courtoisie est tout simplement remarquable. Ils étaient non seulement bien informés sur le menu, mais ils ont également pris le temps de répondre à toutes mes questions et de m'expliquer les différentes options disponibles. Leur passion pour la cuisine mexicaine transparaissait dans leurs recommandations, ce qui a enrichi mon expérience gastronomique.

Quant à la cuisine, je suis littéralement tombé amoureux des saveurs authentiques et des ingrédients frais utilisés dans chaque plat. Chaque bouchée était un voyage gustatif au cœur du Mexique. Les tacos étaient parfaitement préparés, avec des garnitures savoureuses et des tortillas fraîches, tandis que les burritos étaient généreusement remplis et incroyablement savoureux. J'ai également essayé leurs boissons rafraîchissantes, qui étaient un mélange parfait de saveurs exotiques.

En plus de la délicieuse cuisine, je tiens à souligner l'efficacité du service. Malgré l'affluence, les plats sont arrivés rapidement à ma table, témoignant du professionnalisme de l'équipe en cuisine. De plus, le personnel en salle était toujours attentif à nos besoins, veillant à ce que nous ne manquions de rien.

En conclusion, ma visite chez Bocamexa Réaumur a été bien plus qu'un simple repas. C'était une expérience gastronomique complète, marquée par l'excellence du service et la qualité exceptionnelle de la cuisine. Je recommande vivement cet établissement à tous les amateurs de cuisine mexicaine et à tous ceux qui recherchent une expérience culinaire exceptionnelle. Merci à toute l'équipe de Bocamexa Réaumur pour avoir fait de ma soirée un moment inoubliable. Je reviendrai certainement pour explorer davantage votre menu et vivre encore une fois cette expérience...

This was excellent, honestly better than I expected given that it's both a chain and also that everything is pre-prepared. But I was truly impressed, and I'm picky about my Mexican food. The flavors of everything were authentic and spot-on, the hot sauce was actually spicy as opposed to most Mexican food that I've had in France, and while it wasn't cheap, the portion size made it worth it.
