Worst experience ever… I was at another branch of Breizh cafe in 2019 in Paris. At that time I had an great experience with the foods and the service. However, yesterday me and my friends came here and ordered 5 crepes and 1 plate of oysters. Somehow the waitress heard oysters as “lobster crepe” on the special menu and served at our table. When we said that she made the wrong order and we didn’t order that crepe. She just replied to us “ so you guys goin to waste it!?” I mean come on, it’s our problem or your problem? My friend clearly said that she want an oyster plate. Do you have to be that rude at us and especially when it is your service problem. Later on she bring the oysters plates to us, but one of my friend did not get his savory crepe.( we ordered 5 crepes and one oysters plate) In the end we got only 4 crepes with oysters plate. And another waiter came and gave my friend who hasn’t got his crepe a small plate with few pieces of bread with butter which isn’t even on the menu. We felt like they are making jokes on us… Ordered 5 crepes with 1 oyster plate ended up with 4 crepes and 1 oysters plate and a small plate with few pieces of bread !? There is no apologies from the waitress when she made the wrong order, and showing her unpleasant face through out the whole service. And her colleague, the guy came and gave us a plate with bread makes us felt like he was mocking at us. Food was great, but can’t really enjoy it with this...
Read moreWe loved the quality of the ingredients and the choice of dishes. Many restaurants have vast menus with an overwhelming amount of choices and it doesn't make for a better dining experience. The menu was just right. We are a Breton/American family with a history in Japanese culture so Breizh Café was an easy choice. We were happy with the variety of ciders, thoughtfully categorized. Also, the use of buckwheat in areas other than galettes was intriguing. For example, we enjoyed buckwheat beer, buckwheat honey and buckwheat ice-cream. Very innovative! When our server brought out an item we didn't order, she argued that we did order it and left in a huff, later exchanging our item with the correct one and the silence treatment. It's unnecessary for a server to take a simple mistake personally especially since we were nice about it. A gracious and more professional interaction would have made for a better dining experience for us, especially in view of the trouble the Breizh Café goes through to strive for a welcoming, ,hospitable reputation. In all, it was still a lovely evening and special to us since we dined there for the first time and between 2 international flights. We chose this place as our only dining choice with just a few hours in Paris, to and from CDG. Thanks to @davidlebovitz for recommending on his...
Read moreThe waiter was very rude and disrespectful he literally ruined our night. We had a wonderful nice dinner nearby and wanted to have crepe for dessert, that’s why we were there. We seated ourselves outside, it was really busy so we wait patiently for the waiter to notice us. The table next to us ask for bill and I thought ok he will notice us while doing my the payment, but he didn’t seems to notice us so before he walked away with the money, I smile and raised my hand and say “sorry can we get a menu?” He use the stop hand gesture and don’t bother to look us and say:”wait, you wait.” With a very impatient attitude and walk away. My friend and I again, waited patiently and chit chatting, and after approx 10mins he finally is here but didn’t have the menu on his hand, and he said : “bonjour, so tell me what you want.” We both say bonjour (I am 150% sure coz we r very polite human beings) then I say: “we haven’t got our menu yet.” The waiter look very offended and say, “ok, first you say Hi, then you will get your menu.” Then walk away again with a very annoying expression. We were both very upset and decided to walk away because we...
