Worst experience I’ve had so far!!! I called to check if we could make a reservation for a table of 3 and got us confirmed. We were just a few blocks away but its Paris and it’s always best to do so to guarantee a spot.
Everything was wrong from the beginning we arrived and asked about our reservation and the ladies on the counter just said: “Its one of the tables outside.” So we went out and sat at the first table that was available (We sat there waiting to get a menu for 10 mins we even tried to get the staffs attention with no luck.) The waiter finally comes and tells us we’re on the wrong table, the table we were at ended up being from the next doors restaurant. She was very rude about it, she pushed the other restaurant’s tables and chairs to make place for our table.
Our new table has no chairs now and she just goes: “There you go” I don’t think it’s unreasonable to ask for chairs and so we did to which she just blurted out to us: “Well just get some chairs…” I went to the other customers tables and asked if them if they were using the chairs that seemed free. It was very uncomfortable I really didn’t wanna interrupt their evening the night was perfect and worth enjoying every minute.
We finally settle our table and made our choice pretty fast (we were sticking to spritz so it was easy) we wanted to have a drink while our third friend was on her way. To put things into context our friend was already on her way from The Madeleine metro stop to this place, it was around 20:00H (Check the timing to get to this place with those parameters on a saturday and you’ll see its no more than 15mins).
So the waiter finally comes, after once again trying to get their attention for like 10 mins, and we couldn’t even finish ordering our drinks when she interrups us and asks if our friend was actually coming or not… she adds “It’s Paris and its fashion week is she coming or not?” She didn’t even hesitate to asks us to leave if she’s not gonna get there immediately.
My friend is from Paris and she was shocked on the way we were treated, if not ask the restaurant next door…
This place should receive the attention we got from its staff and owners. DON’T FEEL TEMPTED TO COME TO THIS PLACE IT IS NOT WORTH IT, NO PLACE IS IF YOU’RE TREATED LIKE THIS.
I’m certain I was polite the whole time even by the end when I was just off about it. I just said to my...
Read moreJammed in a little street behind the grander intersection, this Tapas-style place is easy to miss, but cannot be skipped!
The menu experiments with international cuisine in their dishes — middle eastern kafta, chinese eggplants, Italian gnocchi & risotto, and american bbq ribs — alongside their french dishes aplenty. There’s something for everyone.
The portions are fair, and the flavours are sharp and bold, with well-thought out combinations of ingredients. Best to come with a party of 2 or more, to share and get the most of the experience! They ran out of bread when our food came, but the chef promptly went out to buy a fresh and warm batch from the bakery when we requested. Much appreciated!
Overall great experience, and would come again if I had more time in Paris. Highly recommend the seafood risotto, melt-in-your-mouth pork ribs, and Burgos...
Read moreWhat lovely service this restaurant has, intuitive, warm, not over-the-top--the serveuse is fantastic at her job. The tapas menu was well curated with so many interesting if classic choices, yet the food itself was so underwhelming. Scallop carpaccio one of those annoying dishes that relies entirely on the oftentimes incoherent pairing of a balsamic vinegar glaze for taste (which means you taste the vinegar and not the scallops). This is such a basic dish, shouldn't people serving tapas get scallops right? Travers de porc was okay but felt like some casually cooked it for lunch and reheated it, aubergines also entirely blah. The place itself is tucked away on a quiet street with many decent restaurants and the terrasse area was so chill, wished the food was at least,...
