A Disgraceful Experience at Breizh in Paris

I have never encountered such blatant and overt mistreatment and discrimination as I did at Breizh. We do not use this term lightly; in fact, this has never happened to us until now.

Our visit to Breizh in Paris, renowned for its Brittany-style crepes, was nothing short of appalling—a glaring example of poor service and unabashed discrimination.

We arrived with our baby, eager to enjoy some authentic crepes.

Our baby started crying, as babies sometimes do, and we did our best to soothe him. Instead of offering understanding or assistance, a nearby table began hurling insults, criticizing our parenting skills, and making disparaging remarks about our efforts to calm our child. The situation escalated when a girl pointed her butter knife at me—a threatening gesture that left us in shock.

To make matters worse, the owner arrived and immediately sided with these clients without knowing the details of the exchange. He was condescending and aggressive, embodying the worst stereotypes of alarming racist behavior. His comments were laced with overt hate, questioning where we came from and stating, “we don’t do things like that in France.” This abhorrent display of xenophobia left us feeling humiliated and deeply hurt.

As if the verbal abuse wasn’t enough, we were asked to leave the restaurant and had our plates taken away before we could even finish our meal. This was the first time we had ever experienced such blatant discrimination in a restaurant, all because of a crying two-year-old.

Avoid Breizh at all costs if you value decency, respect, and a modicum of human kindness. This establishment clearly lacks all three. It is crucial to raise awareness in the press about businesses that practice such abhorrent...

We had high hopes for Breizh Café, but the service completely ruined what could have been a great dining experience.

Our visit started with a 15-minute wait outside in the cold. Before being seated at 12:15, we were told that the table would only be available until 1 PM. While we were fine with the time limit, the way it was presented felt like we had no real choice—either accept being seated with the strict time limit or continue waiting outside.

Once we sat down, things didn’t improve. It took another 15 minutes for a waiter to come to our table. When he finally arrived, we tried asking a couple of questions about the menu, but he seemed impatient and ready to leave us “to decide.” Frustrated, we just ordered the first thing we saw, skipping any questions entirely.

We ordered a savory dish and a sweet dish. The savory dish came out quickly and was fantastic—but they completely forgot about the sweet dish. We didn’t realize this until the waiter came to clear our plates and casually asked if we needed anything else. When we asked about the sweet dish, it became clear they had forgotten about it.

To be fair, the food and coffee were incredible, and it’s the only reason this place isn’t getting a worse review. However, the service and staff attitude were so poor that it overshadowed the experience.

If you’re okay with amazing food but frustrating service, this place might work for you. But if you care about being treated well as a customer, I’d suggest finding...

I recently visited Breizh Cafe and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed. From the moment I walked in, I was transported to a quaint little street in Paris with its charming decor and ambiance.

The menu was filled with a variety of sweet and savory crepes, as well as other French classics like croissants and sandwiches. I decided to go with the classic ham, egg, and mushroom crepe, and it did not disappoint. The crepe itself was thin and perfectly cooked, with a generous amount of ham and melted cheese inside. The accompanying salad was fresh and had a nice touch.

The service was also top-notch. Our server was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable, considering the high quality of the food.
