Edit: No idea what the owner is referring to about explaining the starfish in the gray shrimp - This never happened. Also not sure what the owner is referring to about us eating 1 oyster each - we ordered a dozen oysters which we finished and I posted a picture with this review as proof. We started exhibiting symptoms immediately AFTER this meal, so of course while we were at the restaurant we did not "consistently" express how ill this meal made us feel. I would NOT trust the owner's response due to all of these lies. 3 months later and we still haven't eaten oysters again due to PTSD. I spent the entire 5 days of our Paris trip in our hotel room with severe food poisoning and almost didn't make my flight back home because I didn't think I would last the 1 hour taxi ride to the airport without having to run to the bathroom. Coming to Bulot Bulot on our first day ruined our entire Paris trip and the restaurant's complete lack of accountability as exhibited in the owner's response should really send red flags to anyone looking to visit this spot.

Avoid avoid avoid!!!!! Came here two days ago with my partner on the 1st day of our 4 day Paris trip. The staff was super friendly. There was a heatwave but you could barely feel the AC inside and we were sweating buckets. Shortly after leaving we felt our stomaches feel off, it’s been almost 48 hours now and we’ve been throwing up and diarrheaing almost every hour since. We’re pretty certain it was from the little grey shrimp - they were really dirty and we found a starfish and other squishy grey bits mixed along with it. Either that or the oysters. Either way, not worth it. I’ve never had food poisoning this bad before and it’s ruined our...

Unfortunately had a really disappointing and dangerous experience here.

My friend and I sat at the bar for dinner and ordered oysters, scallops, and the roll with shrimp and scallops. Immediately we could tell the servers were overwhelmed as they rushed back and forth from the indoor to outdoor area, constantly brushing past our backs since it’s a small place.

It took ages before someone took our order and over an hour and a half to get our food, which we expected to have eaten and left by then since we had other plans afterwards.

As we were eating, a waiter quickly grabbed something from the shelf above us and a wine glass shattered all over the table in front of us. The glass fell all over our body, the remainder of our food and really scared us. Thankfully it did not go into our face or eyes, but it could have if we were bent forward on the table eating.

The waiters were apologetic, but this type of accident could’ve really hurt someone. I cut my finger as I picked up my purse because there was glass on it. We left right away and they didn’t make us pay for the partially eaten meal.

The food was good, so it was a shame we couldn’t properly enjoy it. I think the management here really needs to better plan for the number of wait staff they have working or limit the amount of customers they accept if they couldn’t properly tend to them.

I understand this was a mistake but dining here was so stressful having to see people rush around constantly and almost injuring us. Wouldn’t recommend this place...

Wow! Where to even start? I traveled to Paris from Los Angeles for fashion week and I spent about two weeks reading up on seafood places to enjoy a dinner with some friends. I came across Bulot Bulot & I knew it had to happen. I made a reservation for 6 guests on. Thursday evening for their 1euro Oyster & 5 euro beer special.

When we arrived the atmosphere was very calm, welcoming & quaint. Our party ended up being 3 rather than 6 guests. We ordered 3 dozen oysters, a bottle of white wine which was discounted for the evening & one VERY delicious soup which I don’t think I will ever forget. Unfortunately they were out of Lobster that evening , I should have ordered their crab special. The wonderful staff answered all of our questions happily, brought excellent service (with big smiles & attentiveness) and the food was just beyond fresh & excellent. Bulot’s hot sauce selections was intense - I asked for a staff favorite & also the hottest available. I am beyond thrilled to have found this seafood spot & I will visit time and time again...
