I am really sad to be rating this place this poorly when I was so excited to try it and have a good experience like everyone else. We wanted a table when the cafe was full so we waited. That wasn’t a problem at all, it’s normal for small cafes in Paris. When a table became free, my friends and I sat and took a break from standing in the sun. I was surprised there was no bathroom. Anyway, while we were taking our time (around 5-7min) to decide what to order, many people entered and took away cheesecakes and drinks. So when the cafe became less crowded, it was time to order. “We just packed our last cheesecake. I’m sorry we’re sold out”, the waitress said. She was really nice and apologetic. However, what I don’t understand is the following : first, we have to wait to get a place to sit and THEN when there’s a place for us, it was clear that “take away costumers” were given priority over us. I’m sorry but I didn’t wait outside in the heat to finally not try the cheesecake which is the REASON why I went to that cafe in the first place. I was really disappointed. Apparently making profit was more important to them than having satisfied clients who literally waited in line to get to try their cafe. No need for more than common sense to just make sure that costumers who are staying in the cafe get their orders (knowing there’s only few cheesecakes left) before people who want take away cheesecakes. Plus, this cafe is known for cheesecakes and them running out of cheesecakes on a Saturday (I would confidently say that it’s the busiest day of the week in Paris, hence a lot of people are gonna order cheesecakes) seems ironic to me. In my modest opinion, Jirisan Cafe needs...
Read moreNot sure I’ll go again. It seems kinda overrated. I like small and cosy cafés but this didn’t feel welcoming at all. We had to wait outside before we got a seat. That’s okay but barely 2-3 options of cheesecake were left at 17h. We had the classic one, I think it was just ok. I had the cold matcha and it was fine, a bit too grainy. While many people were sitting long before we even got our seat, the server tried to have a look at our table to check if we finished our drinks. Many people were sitting with their drinks finished, yet she chose to do this. I don’t understand why. And yes,...
Read moreJirisan has to be one of the coziest cafés I’ve ever stumbled upon - the kind of place that instantly makes you want to stay a little longer. The atmosphere is calm and inviting, the design minimalist yet full of warmth, and the attention to detail is just beautiful. Their coffee and matcha is exceptional, perfectly balanced and smooth, and the latte art… absolutely adorable (it genuinely made my day!). Beyond the coffee, I love their concept - thoughtful, creative, and full of heart. It’s one of those rare spots that feels both peaceful and inspiring, and I can’t...
