During our recent visit to Comme un Bouillon, we were treated to an exceptional dining experience that combined warm hospitality with delectable cuisine. Nestled in a charming part of Paris, this restaurant truly stands out for its inviting atmosphere and attentive service.
Pan Salmon with Leek Sauce Pasta and Vegetable Crumble: The salmon was perfectly cooked, with a crispy exterior and tender, flaky interior. The leek sauce pasta complemented the fish beautifully, adding a creamy texture and rich flavor. The vegetable crumble provided a delightful crunch, making each bite a harmonious blend of textures and tastes.
Beef Steak with Blue Cheese Sauce and French Fries: This dish was a carnivore’s delight. The beef steak was cooked to perfection, juicy and tender, while the blue cheese sauce added a bold, tangy flavor that elevated the dish. The French fries were crispy and golden, the perfect accompaniment to the rich steak.
Pot de Crème au Chocolat: To finish off our meal, we indulged in the pot de crème au chocolat. This dessert was a chocolate lover’s dream, with a silky smooth texture and deep, rich chocolate flavor that left us wanting more.
Overall, Comme un Bouillon provided an unforgettable dining experience with its excellent food and outstanding service. They also were able to accommodate our stroller and our baby. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy traditional French cuisine in a cozy and welcoming setting. We can’t...
Read moreThe absolutely worse restaurant I have ever been to. When we got there at around 17:30 and asked for a table for 6, they sat us down and we started looking at the menu. Not all of us 6 were hungry, so some of us ordered dinner, some ordered starters and some of us only ordered drinks because we were going to order the food when we got hungry. Then he said all of the table needed to order food, so we did order all the plates and asked if he could bring some later, because as I said, not all of us were hungry. He said that wasn’t possible because the table was reserved and we needed to leave at around 18:30 (mind you, it was already 18:00). Than I said we could move to another table which he responded that also wasn’t possible because all of the tables of the restaurant were reserved. Of course we weren’t going to eat in 30 minutes, in fact we planned to stay until later, have some drinks, and have some friends come over for drinks as well . So we asked to cancel the orders that hadn’t come yet, and we would just pay for what he had brought to the table. He said that wasn’t possible, and that we had to eat and leave until 18:30. The plates that we had to order arrived and we had to eat in a hurry, and at exactly 18:30 he came and asked “finished?”. Worst experience. He should have told us that the table was reserved before we sat down. I will say that the food we got was actually good and cheap, but absolutely...

Apparently the restaurant has a policy where each person has to order a main course. First problem is that it’s not written anywhere and you just learn about it after you’re settled down, there for 5-10mins, and the waiter informs you when you’re trying to order your food.
We were there as a couple for a quick bite for one of us, the place was not full anyways, it was past peak hour for the lunch. So we were refused to be served.
Even much bigger issue was the attitude when raised this as an issue, and requested to order only one main course and an entree. Then there were irrelevant explanations such as “prices are not that high anyways”, “if you don’t want to eat main courses, then maybe you should go to a sandwich shop”. The remarks were rude and condescending, missing the whole point.
I do live in Paris and respect very strict rules & policies restaurants and cafes have, per their own choices. However, first you need to inform people properly. Then, be polite and don’t dare to insult people.
Would recommend never setting...
