Incredible experience and highly recommended.
We booked the 'full' Eiffel experience at €300 per person, but for our 25th anniversary, we felt it was worth it and were not disappointed.
The good things: The restaurant is immaculate and screams 'high end'. The food is exceptional and a real work of art. I'd go back just to try the other things on the menu. The service was phenomenal and we were kept regularly watered with the unlimited and quite beautiful Charles Heidsick Blanc de Blancs champagne, managing to get through 2 x bottles in addition to wine and cocktails. We were also allowed to keep the table for an extra 30 mins, albeit we were spending money on more drinks by this point, so in the absence of any other diners needing the table (and it was pushing 10pm), it wasn't in the restaurants interest to clear us out! The view whikst eating and drinking is incredible in the evening. My previously 'most memorable dining experience' was in the restaurant in One World (New York) with a view the length of Manhattan, but this was in a different league. The front row table with an unrestricted view of the tower was perfect. The sun setting on the magnifence of the Eiffel Tower and its hourly light show as you eat and drink excellent food and wine is something I'll never forget.
Things I'd suggest the restaurant could improve: For the full Eiffel experience, 2 x things were not quite as advertised. Firstly, the "personalised welcome". We were stopped by a large man in a black suit outside the building who demanded to know if we had reservations before even allowing us in. We had no idea who he was and there was nothing to suggest he was even working for the restaurant and took us by surprise. When we confirmed we did have a reservation, he was immediately very polite and helpful. Once inside, I'd suggest that the welcome we received, whilst warm and genuine, was absolutely no different to any other restaurant I've gone into. So I'm not sure that this "personalised welcome" is a selling point worth considering if you are looking at booking. Secondly, the full Eiffel experience offers "souvenirs to go" as part of the €300 pp booking fee. We received no such souvenirs. Not sure if this was an oversight by the staff as we certainly forgot about it and didn't ask. That said, much like the personalised welcome, I would not be wooed by this slightly disingenuous offer when deciding if the cost of the experience is worth the money. Other guests who haven't paid for a front row seat pushing past to take photos and selfies. I get it, as I've already said, the view is amazing, but other guests who haven't paid for a front row table thought nothing of brushing past to take pictures and selfies next to our table up against the edge of the terrace. It may sound churlish to complain about this, but if you want that view, pay the extra for the table like we did, rather than selfishly or thoughtlessly impinge on the personal space of those who did! Simply 'roping off' the front row would negate this amd give that space a slightly elevated feel.
Overall, with the full experience pre-paid, the extras we ordered like caviar and drinks and the subsequent tip, we paid just shy of €1000 for the pair of us - by far the most expensive meal I've ever had and I do not regret a cent of it. Would I go back? Oh yes, 100%. Would we book the full Eiffel experience again, perhaps not.
I've given it 5*, although the points above probably merit more like 4.5 to be honest. Regardless, whatever your choice, the restaurant is a must visit if you...
Read more“This restaurant is not welcome for the tourist!!” This is nightmare restaurant experience in my life. We booked one week earlier for the table but we didn’t get Eiffel view as we expected. The restaurant e-mail one hour before our reservation time to say “It could be raining, so place you inside in our VIP area with a really nice view on the Eiffel Tower.” When we got there(at noon) it was very sunny day and I can’t see the “nice view on the Eiffel Tower” with my VIP table. so, I asked for the table outside and they said “It’s fully booked! Customers will arrived around 12.30pm. “Customers has many celebrations Anniversary etc.” I keep asking many times And then another waitress said that “Outside is very warm it’s better inside!” Then around 12.30pm the outside table still occupied by 20% of the mostly french customers. (I showed the photos below) then, one group of customers moved the table from the outside to inside table opposite my table (so, I thought outside table is free now and we just ordered for the drinks. So i think maybe the waitress will ask us whether we would like to move to the table outside but nobody come.)While i was sitting at the table i saw many French customers got the table inside near my VIP table but they don’t want to sit inside. So the waitress gave them the outside table!! What??!! And then I waited for the bill 20 min. And another 10 min for the change. And in between that, customers around my table (3 tables) started to complain to each others about bad services. And ask for the manager. So, when i finished i walk to the outdoor and still see about 20% available tables (photos below). I walked to Manager and would like to complains but he just called the reception and walk away! I talked with the reception but nothing no apologies, nothing. I owned the restaurants in my home country and i know this is not what people expected to get when you booking with this kind of tourist spot of the restaurant! DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME AND YOUR TRAVEL EXPERIENCE HERE!
Btw, This is my Anniversary trip far from my home country. Do not consider only French’s Anniversary should get the good table spot! Everybody have the same rights and deserves the same treatments! And the last thing i could say “you have just ruined my love for Paris!”
“Paris is always my good ideas” but not...
Read moreWe had a very upsetting dinner at this restaurant last night. My partner and I had booked a table for a special anniversary which we were looking forward to for months. We requested a table with a view of the Eiffel Tower and we were willing to pay the extra 50 euros per person to have this seat. We researched all the restaurants with views of the tower as this was our main goal and decided upon this restaurant which have pictures on their website advertising the good views they have from inside. Upon arriving we were seated at a table looking out of a window and we were both extremely upset. The view was not of the tower but of the back of a statue which blocked nearly all the tower, all we could see was the light beam which shone from the very summit of the tower!. It will not allow me to attach a picture which shows what we looked at all night while eating dinner and paying 100 euros just to sit at this table, but believe me it is appalling and I have pictures for proof! We asked multiple times to be moved To the one table near us which was the only one from our eyes which had a completely unobstructed view of the tower but they were already booked. This must be the table they take the pictures of for there website to get people like us to book it. Furthermore our view of this statue was covered by two staff members smoking cigarettes right in front of us as we ate our starter! And it gets worse, the brand new dress which I had only bought a few hours before arriving at the restaurant had soup spilled down it by a waiter! Both my partner and I can not express how upset we were with this dinner which came at a high price. Our anniversary was spent looking at the back of a statue which this restaurant charges money for you to see!?? It is ridiculous that they could seat us here with this view and tell us it was the “best view in Paris” when we asked to move. We should not be charged to have sat there, no body should. It is not a view of the tower at all, and the dinner was not worth the price, false advertising....
