I made reservations and I asked to sit outside. When I arrived they mentioned that I did not meet the “dress code” because I was wearing shorts. It’s a hot summer evening in Paris, the beginning of July. This remark did not make any sense because their was families/guests seated in the restaurant wearing regular clothing as tourists should, no dress shirt/pants. Random attire. This is a tourist area. Nothing on the restaurants website mentions a dress code of any sort. Considering this the host made a suggestion that they can sit me down at a back table on the patio where I cannot be seen or somewhere inside hidden. I decided to sit inside which was a poor decision, I was sat in an empty row facing the patio, purposely making me look like an outsider that I did not belong. Someone brought me a menu, I waited for 30 minutes as servers/waiters passed by, no one attended to me, not even a glass of water was offered. I felt really uncomfortable and I was treated unfairly, I decided to leave. The same host at the door didn’t acknowledge me as I left, he achieved his goal. I went to a restaurant down the street called Corso, they were amazing! provided exceptional service and the food was delicious! I guess my money wasn’t good enough to be spent at Le Coq. In the future please mention dress code on your website, just don’t turn away people...

I tried to contact them through email and phone no one cared...
