Le coq is a a pass by for anyone looking for a good French dining experience. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted by a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff is courteous and attentive, ensuring that your dining experience is nothing short of extraordinary. While the prices may be a bit steep, the quality of the food and service are well worth it. The menu at Le coq boasts a variety of options that are sure to please any palate. Whether you're in the mood for a classic French dish or something more contemporary, there's something for everyone. The attention to detail in the preparation of each dish is evident in every bite. The flavors are bold and balanced, leaving you feeling satisfied yet not overstuffed. We tried 2 good plates, they were a bit dry but very healthy and yummy! Despite being located in a touristy area, the staff at Le coq manages to maintain a high level of service and professionalism. They take the time to make you feel like a valued guest and are always happy to make recommendations or answer any questions you may have. In summary, if you're looking for a fantastic French restaurant with good food, amazing service, and a bit of a high price tag, Le coq is definitely your place to visit.

I picked this restaurant as it caught my eye whilst touring Paris during the day and it did not disappoint. I didn't have a reservation but the restaurant went out of their way to make room for my partner and children. The special for valentines was lobster which I had and it did not disappoint. (Lobster fishing being a hobby of mine I know good lobster when I get one). My partner had fillet steak which I had a taste off and it was delicious. It was definitely undercooked but this may be down to personal preferences and not a critique. The waitress was very kind to the children and made an exception for the children menus which was great. We had wine and some beer to drink and the waitress was very well versed in these drinks and the beer was presented in a very aesthetically pleasing glass. I look forward to returning here again when I return to Paris and would recommend this place to anyone. Great location. The gentleman at the door is a credit to the establishment and the waitress was brilliant and couldn't give her enough credit. A lot of restaurants try to be something it's not but this place is where you want to be and get a true dining experience.

(Sunday evening of 1st December) For this kind of venue you would expect a high level of service, but the one we received from our waitress was very poor. Some examples: she immediately brought us the check to pay, served us wine unevenly, gave all the other tables who had also ordered drinks only a plate of bread accompanied with butter, which we never received, same things for blankets, etc. For what concerns the ambiance, the interiors are very beautiful Regarding food, we didn’t try it but we thought from looking at the menu and the plates that other guests ordered that it was overpriced and looked bland. We also saw a couple complain about their food, in particular about their fries. I would say it’s best to come to Le Coq for a drink, given the strategic location, but without expecting too much. However it’s not a place I would return to

I made reservations and I asked to sit outside. When I arrived they mentioned that I did not meet the “dress code” because I was wearing shorts. It’s a hot summer evening in Paris, the beginning of July. This remark did not make any sense because their was families/guests seated in the restaurant wearing regular clothing as tourists should, no dress shirt/pants. Random attire. This is a tourist area. Nothing on the restaurants website mentions a dress code of any sort. Considering this the host made a suggestion that they can sit me down at a back table on the patio where I cannot be seen or somewhere inside hidden. I decided to sit inside which was a poor decision, I was sat in an empty row facing the patio, purposely making me look like an outsider that I did not belong. Someone brought me a menu, I waited for 30 minutes as servers/waiters passed by, no one attended to me, not even a glass of water was offered. I felt really uncomfortable and I was treated unfairly, I decided to leave. The same host at the door didn’t acknowledge me as I left, he achieved his goal. I went to a restaurant down the street called Corso, they were amazing! provided exceptional service and the food was delicious! I guess my money wasn’t good enough to be spent at Le Coq. In the future please mention dress code on your website, just don’t turn away people...

Very bad service and experience, I have had never experienced such a bad situation in restaurant, The hostess asked us if we’d have lunch and we said yes and then she let us in and we sat and we ordered our order (which included a meal) maybe 15 minutes past by and we see her march to us telling us that she told us to order two main dishes and I replied to her no you didn’t she proceeded to say if you don’t order two main dishes GET OUT in front of all the other customers and this was on August 5 at 3:40 PM, if she were to come to apologize for not mentioning then we would have ordered two main courses that’s what I would have done but she told us to get out in front of the whole restaurant then the manager approached us and didn’t seem to care very nonchalant and we told them we would leave The hostess proceeded to mocking to tell us bye as we were leaving and I was very upset and I have never been treated like this, I have been a long time customer and I’ve never met any one as rude as her, when you are at a restaurant as pricey as that you expect the best service and experience it’s not worth it. I tried to contact them through email and phone no one cared...
